So that's what happens when DTL gets what he wants out of an episode of anime, SDburton also gets what he wants out of an anime, and we sprinkle it with NTR.

Will be interesting to see where this goes, to say the character dynamics within the group has changed is one hell of an understatement.

Finally, another episode. I wasn;t felling this one as much as the first two as the third driver comes across as a major douche-bag (poor fat kid :( ) but it was still fun as shit to watch!

Ep3-4 are definitely kinda weak. I wasn't really feeling it either, but it really picks up after that. You'll definitely enjoy ep7. <3

Is that a wager?

No, it's a concern. :)

I only counted three depressingly and no Ina Bauer's :/ could have used more, but I thought it was alright.

Oddest thing was the plot. How did Zenon know who and where the third driver would be, before Arcadia even identified it.

Yes! First five minutes were a pain to get through but damn it was it worth it! Man the part when
Satoru got dumped by Shun was hilarious, that and Mamoru getting cb'ed by Saki
throughout the episode.:D

Here's hoping
Shun gets killed off so Saki can get her mind off this worthless guy and get back to that yuri goodness with Maria

Aren't these SSY gifs a bit... spoilery? For more than one reason?

They kinda are. As someone who was waiting for the show to finish to marathon past the second episode all these screens have spoiled me that
there appears to have been a time skip at some point, given how older everyone looks
.

I could be wrong, of course.

There's a short trailer for Anime Mirai 2013 up on the official website, featuring sketches and very brief snippets of animation for each of the 4 projects. Little Witch Academia in particular looks to be coming along nicely.

The previews of Gonzo's short only had one animation clip, which they used twice. That's... encouraging.

Trigger and Madhouse's shorts both look pretty sweet.

...why are they using an orchestral version of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" as the trailer music?

Why wouldn't they use an orchestral version of "Kashmir" as the trailer music?

I hope SSY doesn't get too hung up on relationship melodrama, because that's not really what's interesting about this show. At least
since we probably won't see Shun ever again, that part of the love pentagon is gone.

Regarding spoilers in images, since the topic is coming up again, how do we really want to handle this? It seems that every time it comes up, no one can really agree on what is too much of a spoiler, and in the end it boils back down to whether a person cares about a given show or not individually.

I think it'll be better if we can agree on terms as a community instead of having like really specific rules where it turns into "OH NO HE BROKE A RULE BAN HIM!!" every time someone is unhappy about something.

Thoughts? :(

I personally think that the way everyone has been going about it so far is fine. People do a good job keeping the really impactful spoilers hidden anyway.

BAN THEM!!

Seriously though, I think if a screenshot could potentially be construed as spoilery then perhaps it'd be best to link to it instead of image quoting it, that way whoever wants to see it is free to do so while people who'd rather avoid being spoiled can choose not to.

Since we are on the subject of SSY,
I think its pretty difficult to not spoil the fact that there is a time skip and they do age. It's very obvious from any image, and its going to show up in every image we post going forward. I don't think there is any way around that. I guess gifing the yaoi and yuri scenes are probably a bit spoilery, but its hard to knock those considering such images are normally posted with regards to other shows.

It seems a bit more difficult to have hard and fast rules with images compared to text, but I haven't really seen anything spoiled in images that is particularly major or notable. Perhaps for stuff that toes the line a bit we can switch to links rather than embedding, particularly with shows that are plot heavy.

This would naturally be ideal, but I think it's easier said than done. Everyone has a different definition of "potentially spoilery."

To be honest, I don't think that some spoilers are even a big deal. There are some scenes or developments that rely on surprise, and those generally shouldn't be spoiled, but I think AnimeGAF does a good job avoiding images of those. As for the rest, I don't feel like my enjoyment of most scenes would be significantly hampered if I knew they were going to happen.

This kinda reminds me of that study done where people who were slightly spoiled enjoyed a work more, I guess. I can't say I enjoy things more when they're spoiled or that I want things spoiled for me, but I don't think people should become overzealous about them either. I can't say I agree with the article writer's way of reading either though, lol.

In general the images that usually gets posted in this thread are not much different from stuff you see in next episode previews.

In the case of SSY, the only spoilery-ish issue that's been sorta brought up was
Trejo mentioning a timeskip, which could apply to every single image posted about episode 8 so far.

The only issue I might have with it is how quickly they get posted. A show shouldn't be out for a few hours and already have a bunch of important scenes put in the thread. The SSY ones are ok, though I would have preferred to find out about that stuff from watching the episode.

Right, the main problem with regards to SSY here is that the show is divided into arcs, and there's really no avoiding the fact that anyone posting an image will reveal the "spoiler" that it is indeed divided into arcs. Furthermore, simply visiting the official site will reveal an updated key visual with the new designs.

As such, the debate about whether this is a "spoiler" becomes rather... complicated. :/

I think if you can avoid spoilers using images, that'd be great. However, with SSY it's hard to avoid it considering there are timegaps.

Yeah, the new Gyrozetter's nice and all but the "fight" at the end was so threadbare that this episode was pretty underwhelming in every way possible. what a shame

Sounds depressingly awesome!

Personally I don't have any issues with the way things are but I also don't care about getting spoiled so...

Didn't start Cowboy Bebop tonight. Wasn't feeling up to it. Settled on Adventure Time instead.

Unrelated: is Fruits Basket or whatever as hilariously absurd and insane as Netflix's description makes it sound?

I'll say everyone's been pretty good at avoiding images that directly spoil a story plot or something. Jokes or gags maybe, but considering it's pretty hard to get the exact context from an image or two, I don't see any need to change what's accepted now.

And therein lies the issue as what constitutes as a spoiler will vary depending on the individual, as the wise ol' Hobo pointed out.
When people consistently post stuff from the peaks of episodes I don't really know how people can dodge around the fact that they are revealing information about the episode that they shouldn't. It's worse with .gifs.

About two to three hours after a Chuu2 episode comes out like half of the episode is already posted in the thread in .gif or .jpeg format.

Btooom! 7

Oh wow, they got through the Masashi fight quickly. The faster pace only made it more epic. This is the first episode where I would call this anything more than a subpar adaptation, though that's mainly due to the pacing and not the animation.

Guess that means the season will probably end with the crazy glasses dude.
