Online numbers are already horrible as of now but I still don't think we'll see major changes, 343i seems stuck in their ways. Everything just seems to be so distant with them and out of touch. I'm second guessing every time I want to go play halo and that was never the case for previous halos. The past two halo games have been a huge disappointment to me. Even the decisions in Reach made by 343i made me go wtf. So the direction of Halo as I see it is going down the wrong path. It's so strange cause just some minor tweaks, playlist/map adjustments and H4 could be great.

I hope 343 learn from this title and clean up all the shit for Halo 5.

Basically write 4 off as a Multiplayer Beta for 5.

Also, for fuck's sake, enough with the Big fucking maps. My lord, what is the obsession with big ass maps. There's a reason Haven and Adrift are the only two maps that get voted on in SWAT.

Baffling decision to release 3 big maps into a map selection that already has an overabundance of large maps.

Next 2 map packs both need to have 3 small maps just to break even.

I think that 343i should take the Crimson DLC playlist, add some other maps, call it like "grab bag" or some shit and leave it on permanently (after the initial DLC release period)

I'm having more fun in that single playlist than I've had since release. It's got a bit of everything, and I really like that.

The no hea mod was around in the first week. 343 are more than aware of It . However based on what I know I can't think of a suitable fix unless they replace the default spartan model

I hope they patch it soon. If it takes 4-5 months to get the update they can just forget it.

Ran through Wreckage a bit - not going to enter MM by myself, and will wait until later today. But I am a bit intrigued by its layout. People say Oddball is good for it, but it's pretty large, though definitely not BTB like others have stated (neither is Standoff, Zanzibar, Last Resort, or Burial Mounds). It is built for your KotH and Extraction games, so I'm anticipating some games there. As for Extraction, it better not do the same crap Bungie did to KotH in Reach. They had a KotH Hemorrhage gametype and the hill often changed but went to one specific side of the map (beach side mostly) ; what brilliant thinking was that? I see one poster said it was on one specific team side in his game, then another person writes how it was in the center. So, I guess it fits what the rest of Halo 4 brings: randomness.

SWAT is only good for smaller maps. Not that I'm a fan of it anyways, but nobody should be wanting to play that on Complex or Abandon.

Team classic in Reach was bad with poor player count. But...
1.It had a shit pistol (not enough bullets, bloom)
2. Poopy forge maps.


Literally take slayer pro, add radar, implement static drop maps (most important part) explain the weapon locations/timers in bulletin and launch it.

Consider how badly messed up the File Sharing system is right now, getting proper amount of maps in will probably take forever.

Also you should add in the red X's and the disappearing power weapons.

As for Team Classic, I thought it was okay. Some iffy maps in there, Rat Race in particular was an AR fest. They decided to pick out a terrible Lockout version. The Midship and Beaver Creek variants were fairly good. The Needle Rifle was the go-to gun in the playlist, but it pissed people off because they didn't want use "that pink gun".

Don't think it was ever there.

That and Red x's being cut have NO explanation as well. No one asked for it to be removed. It's been a goddamn staple since Halo 2.

When a friendly dies it shows up as a yellow X on the radar. Pretty sure that is their variation on the red x from past games

Need more remake maps, so if any of you know, where I can find some, just tell me. Heared Nilladpuddin is onto some remakes, does someone know his GT?

The indicators look different than they did in previous games, but they still flash when they are shooting. The visual indicator is not as distinguishable as the plain "yellow" indicators of old.

Their is definitely a fix for that, each box should make sure every other players' custom armor choices are valid, if not then just show them with the default armor. Super easy.
That way, even if the hacker is host, they will show up with armor to everyone else.

Yep. At least if they made it free at this point they'd avoid future playlist issues by it's absence. It would also be nice to do something nice for the European playerbase, who are still pretty annoyed about the double XP thing followed by the specialisation thing. If the game can be said to have an experience economy, Americans have started as wealthy inheritors while everyone else scrabbles in the dirt. Poor stuff.

I got the mancannon melee achievements at the same time last night, and I can't remember for the life of me if I was using a mancannon at the time. It's potentially bugged. But at least the good way round, as I thought that would be a pain in the ass to get. I really hope they do something like a multiple Mantis map for a few weeks just so people can get that damned acheivement out of the way and will stop being dickheads about it.

Harvest is a pretty good map. Shatter is rubbish. Wreckage is enjoyable in places but just so stupidly, pointlessly large, and the performance issues are unforgivable. Did they even get tested???

Meh, XBL help reps trying to discourage people as much as they can, but it's meaningless.

Revoking content via the DRM system is a terrible news story, and attempting to charge people retrospectively is flat out illegal in many territories and against Visa and Mastercard's rules. They'd be humped on chargebacks so badly they'd lose money.

EDIT: Totally agree with the image that the Limited Edition has proved to be a ripoff so far though. 343 needs to do something fairly significant for us (I'd suggest either quite significant free extra content, or even a free physical blu-ray disc in the post of FUD at this point).

In my opinion they won't do either option.

A. Auto charge everyone. Not going to happen as you can't force someone to pay when they only agreed to pay $0 for it at the start. What happens to people with a balance of 0? What happens to people without a credit card attached? There is no way they would get away with authorizing a credit card charge without explicit consent from the consumer.

B. Remove all offending DLC "purchases." The more probable solution, but still a slippery PR disaster. The meltdown over this would be pretty large. On top of that there will be people who wanted to purchase the maps, but when they attempted to buy them they were "free" to download. Now you're yanking the maps from those players, forcing them to redownload a 500+ MB file, and essentially further frustrating the launch of the DLC. Not to mention some players have tight bandwidth allowances per month, etc. Even talking about doing this should make people feel bad.

Yeah that is true. It's nice to see that they somewhat recognise the situation but it will suck if nothing happens. I expect nothing will happen.
