Why?

Both of you, stop posting bad anime gifs.
This is a good middle-ground (although money would be preferred).
More than 10 points would be preferred though. That's not much.

Instead of eShop discounts, here's an idea that might make a lot of sense for Nintendo. If you acquire 100% of the achievements in a Wii U game, you unlock a bonus 10 coin Club Nintendo survey with questions specifically centred around having played a game to total completion. Kills three birds, as players get achievements, they get tangibly rewarded for achievements, and Nintendo gets additional data from a very specific demographic of hardcore players.
I think that we care about E3 far more than Nintendo does. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually stop turning up for it.
Look at Pokemon X+Y, for example. That would have been an E3 Megaton. The game isn't coming until the end of the year.
smh at people expecting a new ambassador program.
I bet it's exactly one of the things they were worried about when the did it for the 3DS. Setting that unreasonable precedent.
yeah 10 is a bit low for such an endeavour, but I was just being conservative

More like
30 mins?? Better just straight trailers no konichiwas, no chottsu or whatever just trailers!
it's time to give the Mario a rest. 5 canon games in 3.5 years is enough.
Never give a rest to Galaxy quality games. Ever.

That would be the worst possible line-up aside from Smash. Again, those are games so few people would care about. Only the most hardcore of Nintendo fans. I get the feeling it might be something like this through.

Alright take this, my love, my anger and all of m-

E3 is the gaming event with the biggest non-gaming journalism coverage. No way in hell. I guess they just split their announcements more and more. "Core gamer" announcements at NDs, more "casual" stuff at the E3.
Hype dead again. They already need way too much time to cover all that lame delayed stuff.
30 minutes is fine unless it's like e3 where they go
we have 40 minutes to show all this stuff so we'll get right on it *proceeds to stall time in the worst manner possible*
and don't worry our 3ds conference is gonna be separate from the wii u one cause we have so much stuff to show *proceeds to talk about 3ds games anyway in the most stretched way possible*
Too much milking isnt good either.
I got my launch Mario game,
so focus on other IPs for now.
Yeah, really unreasonable to reward early adopters with a dozen or so antiquated titles.
That's umpossible - they're busy right now with P100, Byo2 and PN04.
It's Ezalc, you don't have to listen to him.
I am hoping the Virtual Console service for WiiU is announced. If I have to re-purchase anything, I am going to be pretty ticked off.
The worst was E3 2011. Hey you want to see some games? Well here's an orchestra that will play Zelda songs for half the conference.
Iwata: *laughs*

What in the where now?

They could have 30 min direct. Then something after it who knows. Hype re-established!!!Most of the Nintendo Direct's always end up more than 30 minutes from what I remember, and they don't need to spend time on every game announcement, they could do that for after, example what the 3DS Direct's usually get when they are done when they usually show off more of the games they announced.
They will be back
Well, the Pokemon one was 10 minutes and still... Yeah, enough time.

I feel it. I FEEL IT.
