It would be the icing on the cake if he ended up lying on his LinkedIn profile. You know detective-GAF is going in hard on this one.
Jaffe defended the guy publically. I'm sure his LinkedIn profile is on the level.
It's not like IMDB is policing the authenticity of their game credit submissions, either.
I'm more inclined to believe those are wrong.

Those come from personally writing up the end credits on the video game. If you're anybody in the game's development you make it on IMDB because you're on the credits list.

Even QA testers, and pets make it to the end game credits. Jaffe does seem to know him, and defended who he was, not what he said. Its likely they're beer buddies who like to talk shit together.

Has this been posted?

Yes a long time ago, and of course I'm sure you know it's not really Kaz Hirai (not to be patronising, but many people don't seem to understand the word "parody" on GAF).

I can see Microsoft changing their plans after bad PR.

Right, guys? They'd be crazy to stick with it.
Not if they've got a strong reason for it to be always-online. That's the problem with rumours, they're completely and utterly out of context.

Did you search under sweet billy?

Now leading up to the nextbox unviel there will be this strong negative stigma. If its announced with an offline mode, the internet will claim they changed it.

Yep. And the idea that MS could re-introduce it at some point in the future will be forever hanging over their heads ... even if it was NEVER there in the first place.

I'm sure it is, because as read his explanation of what he did as lead designer on his page is a bit confusing in specifics. Still though: http://www.mobygames.com/game/ps3/god-of-war-iii/credits - http://www.giantbomb.com/god-of-war-iii/3030-20461/credits/ - http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/god-of-war-iii/details

So he might be a lead designer in some weird way, but in any practical application in regards to God of War, I'm not seeing it. Would seem like leaving out a Lead Designer would be a really odd thing to do, this many times.

Somewhere, deep within the bowls of the Earth is a kingdom of homeless people. A mighty army made up of those that society has discarded.

In the heart of this sprawling utopia for the disenfranchised and forgotten is a palace made of shopping carts. And within that is a throne made of old Atari Jaguar boxes.

Sitting upon that throne, wearing a faded Resident Evil 5 t-shirt and a crown fashioned out of a Gizmondo, is Shane Kim. Before him, on bended knee, is a throng of warriors as fearless as they are homeless.

He lifts his head and utters to his waiting horde of loyal warriors...,

".........., deal with it."

Smash cut to black.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Sweet Billy stuff and Gies wading in to corporate shill as per usual is just icing on this already rich and delicious cake. Bravo GAF.
