Jaffe's already coming up with strategies:
Holy shit, of course. This is DEFINITELY going to happen.

So you won't be buying the ps4, then?
.With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.
All they needed 2 do is say YES their is a 24 hour reset period, BUT it's not a big deal because we have a APP that y ou can use on tablet's or phone, that lets you reactivate it very easily.
and just like that, 99% of the hate is gone.
Sony did it with 5 people.
This
Why would any publisher just let you do this? They do not want used games, they wont just allow you to do it out of sheer good will
I have a reliable connection.
I don't buy used.
I don't sell my games.
Yep.This just seems overly convoluted. Good luck explaining this to parents.
Q for all gaf members!: Would you support a system licensed by microsoft that lets you RENT GAMES digitally from their servers for 10$ a week.
Just like blockbuster or rogers.
SO you can buy the games you love, and rent the games you wanna try out?.
I think it would be brilliant.
Remember when so many people praised Sony for giving publishers the choice to block used games? So now Microsoft says that they're doing that and it's a problem. Funny how that works.
The problem here is that EA and MS are doing the DRM thing. I'm finding it pretty hard to believe that EA would release a game on Xbox One that has DRM and release it on PS4 without DRM.
You can play the game as long as you want if he has an Internet connection. It just does an online check every hour.Holy shit so if you're at a friends house you can only play the game for a fucking hour?
What the fuck? Fuck you MS. That's just ridiculous. Holy shit.
I'm amazed at the people who think they'll be able to designate their friends as "family". I bet that the other person will have to have the same billing address or maybe the same last name in order to qualify as a family.
It's happening.
It seems that they have cleared some of the issues up and listened to the gaming feedback. There are still some stuff that are still unclear yet (e.g every 24 hour connection).
Also does this mean that individual private selling is out of the question. (Assuming Microsoft allows for some sort of online trading system with friends?)
The family thing sounds so exploitable, I can basically have 10 friends who can log-in have access to my games at any time?
Then why the hell are there used game restrictions and 24h online checks? People will abuse this wholesale.

Ah, so the Xbox One is officially fucking abysmal. Well, at least I didn't have to wait til E3 to hope that I had to still care about its game library.
See you next gen Microsoft, hope you're not a bag of cunts then
Is the tar and feathers ready?
Jaffe's already coming up with strategies:
We need some clarification about the family sharing thing, the wording is quite vague and a little bit misleading.
Let's take a look;
- Up to 10 members of your family - how does Microsoft know which are our 'family' - does this mean only accounts originally registered on the same console as the shared library?
- And 'any one of' - so including yourself, only one other person can access your shared library at any given time?
- There is no indication that you can both play the same game at any given time.
Hmm? Why would they allow a trade-in if you couldn't buy it as a used product? Why would any retailer pay for it?
This just seems overly convoluted. Good luck explaining this to parents.
What in the world do they mean by "access to your shared library from any xbox"?
If I went to a friend's house and wanted to access my game library on his xbone, wouldn't I need to also bring my entire library of discs over and install every game onto his hard drive, taking up space?
Or would I need to call in advance some hours/days before going over? "Hey man, could you download a few of my 20GB games onto your xbone from the store before I come over so I can access my library?"
Or does MS already have a gaikai-like streaming service/technology already implemented and ready to go?

Highlights (lowlights?):
No renting, no loaning. No private sales (unless selling to someone who has been on your friends list for 30 days)
Console Checks in Every 24 hours
Trade-ins are up to the publisher and only at participating retailers
You can give a game to a friend only if they have been on your friends list for 30 days, and then it is stuck with them.
Its pretty clear. One at any given time."You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."
They could just say any of your family members. Or all. Only one of the ten family members can. That needs clearing up in the OP.
Where's Amirox when you need him!
This is wishful thinking if I ever I saw it...It all depends if we can set prices or not.
If we can then this is the best thing ever...
