Overlooked Wii gems

Little King's Story is easilly top 5 or 10 Wii game.

And endless ocean 1 and 2 are amazing, but not for everyone. ( dreams about EO 3...)

I agree with the opinion that most of Wii games are overlooked gems... I loved that console.

Wario Land: Shake It!:

Klonoa:

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure:

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon:

Muramasa: The Demon Blade:

No More Heroes:

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle:

Little King's Story is probably top 5 games on the system and no one played it. Dunno how that Vita remake/reimagining or whatever turned out, but either way it needs to be played

The bloom, oh man the bloom hurt my eyes. I wonder if the Vita version is better in that regard.

Fragile Dreams had so much potential but the controls are flat out broken. The pointer controls simply do not work properly and skip around wildly. Really wanted to enjoy it too.

I never had that issue with it, although the controls were an issue on some occasions [minor, though].

I included it in my list since it is an overlooked title and I had fun with it, and can be purchased for relatively cheap these days.

Captain Rainbow is pretty amazing from what I've seen.

The fan translation unfortunately hasn't been released yet, I've been waiting for that one for a long time now.

Fatal Frame 4 (has a fan translation) and the Wii remake of 2 (PAL only) are great too.

if you have a balance board you should try the first shaun white snowboarding game. I havent tried the sequel so I dunno about that.

dont forget the original sin & punishment is on the VC shop.

I love battalion wars 2,excite truck, ghost squad, and warioware smooth moves.

onichanbara bikini zombie slayers is not a "gem" but it can provide some cheap fun.

one piece unlimited adventure is good if you like one piece. I havent played the unlimited cruise sequels since they didnt come to usa and now I want them on 3ds instead.

resident evil umbrella chronicles is worth a play through, havent tried the sequels.

on wiiware, my life as a dark lord, bomberman blast.

some of my favorites Wii games:

this one is based on the TV show, and the gameplan is basically a Phoenix Wright parody/ripoff

Really? The problem I had was simply that the pointer/flashlight was not consistent and would jump around while trying to play. Other games didn't have that problem and the problem exists on every Wii and Wii U I've tried it on (which is basically five systems). That includes the Japanese version, by the way, which is the version I played first. I could never avoid the jumping cursor problem. It made the whole game feel glitchy as a result (as your whole character would react to the spastic cursor).

Nothing wrong with including it, though. :)

Not the best game ever, but a really fun little spin-off that came out early in the Wii's life cycle. Definitely worth a shot for any fans of Dragon Quest.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories

It's a game celebrated by many, but I would say it's "overlooked" 'cause a lot of Silent Hill fans poop on it. That shouldn't discourage anyone from playing it, though. It's brilliant.

I love love LOVED this game.

I wish I could find it, though. Locally, I mean. Or on GAF, hate eBay.

I know many people hated it, but I enjoyed Cursed Mountain quite a lot. It had some jank, but the story, the environments and enemies all created a very believable world, that was wholly unique and I'd love to see a sequel to it some day... maybe not a direct sequel but in the same spirit.

Edit: Snowden knows what's up. hihi

Great minds!

It was also the scariest game I ever played.

Just started playing this last night and I'm liking it so far.

Speaking of Dragon Quest...

A stock-based, monopoly-like strategy game that's soooooo much more fun than it sounds.

I'd suggest the PS2 version, or even the PSP port. The Wii controls were fun for about 5 minutes, but the constant throwing enemies off your back while you were running became a chore with the Wii Remote. The PS2 and PSP version were much easier in this regard.

It actually made me feel uneasy at times. Growing up in the mountains I actually was amazed at how well they captured the harsh nature of high altitudes. Mind you I'm no climber, but I am familiar with the harsh weather and environments you would encounter up high. They did a great job with the animations, making Eriks running speed actually sensible, and had they put a bit more effort into the actual climbing parts, the game could've been a masterpiece.

The Rebirth games were off tha hook.

And nobody played them, pretty much.

Both Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth and Contra Rebirth were good enough games that if they came out back in the day, they'd be the games we point to when someone says "remember how good Konami used to be?"

Best game on the Wii but you have get through it before the fucking Runeys ruin it for you.
