It's interesting how closely the PS3 entries (and to some extent the PS2 ones as well) fit the usual "console lifecycle" Gauss curve.

killer dead got an awful debut. damn... was expecting a bomba already, but this is too much. strange, since the last special edition for ps3 opened up strong and lollipop was a big sucess. perhaps word of mouth on the suda games were toxic as hell.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Suda51 clearly has severely compromising photos of very rich men to be allowed to continue his career in shitdev'ing. Seems like you really have to try hard to bomb to that level really.

Sub-10k again for WiiU. W101 numbers honestly frighten me for Platinum's future. I don't want them getting the rep Suda51 and Grasshopper do, despite the quality gulf!

Mario & Luigi seems to have a small drop, which is a good sign. Seeing that it is now sitting at 50% sell-through, in the end it might very well not be a flop after all. Pikmin also held quite well considering it's on a dead platform, Wii U however is crawling on the floor again. Vita seems to really get a huge (ongoing) boost because of Dragon Crown. Monster Hunter clones seem still to be the hot thing in Japan right now.

What's the LTD for M&L so far and how does it compare to the others (sans Bowser unless you want to make me cry).

[GBA] Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Nintendo) {2003.11.21} - 25.473 / 127.442 (438.781 LTD)
[NDS] Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (Nintendo) {2005.12.29} - 28.759 / 279.973 (417.391 LTD)
[NDS] Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (Nintendo) {2009.02.11} - 56.266 / 334.930 (745.701 LTD)
[3DS] Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (Nintendo) {2013.07.18} - 32.000 / 188.000

sobad.jpg thanks though.

And the game is awesome as well. Time to end this series and for AlphaSystem to move on.

Link & Zelda RPG do it.

Er....what?

Wiiu is actually holding better than i assumed it would. I expected back to 5k by now.
Vita is holding at about 17k, which is a really good result, isn't it?

Wii U is back in awful-territory, although it just had an incredibly good game. With Mario coming in December, Wii U has a really horrible time ahead...

It is good for vita (with lowered expectations and all) it just seemed weird to mention it in a week with a drop after a game underperformed

17k despite having pretty much nothing is quite good. As long as it can hold up until the big games come out, it's fine.

What big games?

Besides Gods Eater 2, what big titles are there?

And depending on the split, it may be too early to consider that big as well

Damn at the 3ds bump

None of those are even close to being big titles.

You do not consider FFX HD a big title? Especially since the Dragon's Crown split was so even? I think you are seriously underestimating the demand for portable titles if you do not think that FFX HD will move some serious units.

NOTE: I am not saying it will outsell the PS3 version, I am just saying that it is a big title and to say anything less is very short sighted.

Dragon's Crow PSV: 13,772
PS3: 13,714

makes me wonder what kind of Digital Sales these are getting. Anyone on JP PSN able to say how many reviews it currently has? That is at least a baseline indicator.

Goal post shift in the mold of "Nintendo games don't count" or "only new IPs count"?

Hey, whatever you gotta do to rationalize a "victory" I guess.
What "victory"? I do believe this discussion started around the claim that the Vita was a good platform for thrid-party releases, and in that context I'm making an observation that I don't think publishers are served by mindlessly looking at how big established IPs sell unless they've got something of equal stature. For new IPs and less established franchises, the Vita seems to be holding its own.

Maybe we just have different definitions of big. I dont consider a 200-300k seller big which means i dont think vita has received one big game yet or has any announced.
