Yes, Virginia, there IS a Tuesdayton! FE DS! MONSTER HUNTER...WII? SONIKU IN SUMABURA

DCharlie

And even i am moderately surprised
dissapointment total about monster hunter wii. they might as well just keep it on handhelds. only things i wanted from a real console MH3 were beautiful graphics and a full fledged online mode. my wii is for new IPs built around wiimote - not sequels with tacked on waggle (unless it's a nintendo game).

tacked on waggle might fix the GOD AWFUL controls of the PS version!

Still, you can hope that the X360 version is coming too for fully fledged voice chat online with beautiful graphics.

1. What is Wii-Ware? I've never heard of it before. Is it VC for original games?

2. Didn't Capcom announce MH3 for PS3 already as well (and Jonnyram hinted it's coming for X360 as well)? That would make it one of the first Japanese total multi-platform games (Wii/PS3/X360, hell maybe even PC).

1.) Basically
2.) Yes, it's called Betrayalton to some people

damn lots of Monter Hunter tears in here... why are people shocked?

It's RE 2001 all over again, except in the opposite direction in terms of potential sales.

I'm not surprised. Truthfully I expected MH3 to go to 360 AND PS3 since Capcom actually announced MH3 for PS3. But for once they made the right financial decision and went with Wii, with a potential PSP version down the line to satisfy that huge contingent of gamers playing it portably.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Oh, the FF:CC WiiWare game looks nice in that one tiny little screen. :lol

Anybody translating the staff?

So MH3 on the Wii, with a PSP port to follow no doubt. Can't say it doesn't make sense, possibly having 2 different million selling versions of a single game. If the 360 was a viable platform in Japan we'd have probably gotten the 360/PS3 combo instead, but next gen doesn't sell in Japan so them are the breaks.

I don't read Japanese, but is that a price? 1,500 Wii Points?

EDIT: So beaten. This thread is moving so fast.

I'm seriously waiting for MickeyKnox's reply.
If it's the real sequel with no Framework Engine version coming, then it's pretty much Street Fighter 4 for cell phones as far as I'm concerned.

I can see why the immediate thought of the controls working would cross people's minds but it's a very short sighted idea. Since the hundreds upon hundreds of times one has to perform those actions in even a single mission, for well over a thousand missions will make the game a complete chore and not even worth playing.

Not to mention the disaster that the multiplayer functionality is sure to be. As a Wii owner, I can't see myself playing the game.

so is Monster Hunter 3 multiplatform now?
Right now Capcom's press release/website blurb/whatever it is lists the game as Wii only.

EDIT: It doesn't deny the existence of other versions, it just doesn't mention them.

Yes to both counts.

Does anyone really think that Smash is going out here first? :lol

I'm worried about website updates... How many more awesomeness can have this game?

EEEEEXACTAMUNDO.

Capcom knows that by doing MH3 for Wii and selling 500-750k of that, they can reuse most of the art assets for MH3P and sell 1.5-2m of that.

Really a million for the Wii? I don't see it.
