I do feel kinda sorry for Defuser. He's a genuine fan that had different expectations for the game... if that's the case, and the game ends up being good, I'm sure he'll end up playing it anyway.

But this is good news for me. I don't have a PS3 yet, and I sold my PSP early in the year, so I've missed all of the MH games. I don't even know what they're about. All I know is it got a ringing endorsement from PSP fans, especially in Japan - and the new game is coming out on a platform I own.

of course nobody expects companies to throw all of their resources at ps3, and i don't see many people here throwing their hate at capcom anyway. just some gamers that are dissapointed that one of their favorite games will never be realized in the forseeable future. it's understandable that gamers would be upset about something like this.

monster hunter 3 is basically no more. we're getting something called monster hunter 3, but it's most likely just going to be MHP2+ (minus portability). monster hunter 3 might as well have been canceled. if the game ends up being great there'll be nothing stopping me from getting it -- i'll just always be thinking of what it could have been.

Check again, did I say is "shit", did I say is "awful"? Examine my posts, do you see anything that look as an overreaction? No.

My point is simple: While I am sure Tri will be great, I don´t think it has the potential it would have on another platform, for the own limitations of the machine.

I have a Wii because I´m passionate about gaming and every system has awesome games and I want to try for myself, Wii has and will have these game too and I will be there. Said that, I am not agree with Nintendo strategy this gen as I believe they could have done exactly the same with a more capable machine. They have always released superior or competitive machines in the technical field, they could have done the same now with the new controller. I hope that answer that question.

oh yeah, I forgot about God of War and those games.

This may sound like a fanboy comment, but I really do want PS3 to succeed in Japan so we can get the good next gen Japanese made games, but a lot of devs wouldent be willing to spend the extra money to make a next gen game for the system because at this point they know they wouldent be able to make a huge profit. I mean, if they can make a game for less money and on similar hardware they have been using for the past 7 years and have it sell crazy amounts, why wouldent they?

I really dont care if it is for 360 or PS3, I just want to see more next gen japanese made games, that is all, but realistically the PS3 has a better chance of getting these games or they could always just do multiplayer, either way its fine.

It's not about where this game is likely to appear, because as of now that's the Wii. The whole discussion was about what would suit the series best, basically it's fantasizing about your dream MH (in terms of what it would look like, etc. not it being on your favourite plattform).

Or they could make a Wii version, lower the production costs, and make more money. Last time I checked developers were in the business of making money, not furthering fanboy agendas. It is simple people: largest install base = more opportunity for profit.

for a while there with games like Dead Rising which really showed how you can take a simple concept and make it awesome with the extra power of a next gen console. Atleast there is still DMC4, glorious DMC4.

larger, more convincing environments? more players playing co-operatively? more robust online features without friend codes of any kind? better sound effects to further the immersion? better graphics to really make the monsters look convincing?

you know, there's a few reasons we moved on from the ps1/n64.

For install base to increase they have to make good games for it.If they're not willing to help expand userbase then how could they make profit?

If the Wii was anything other than what it was (its hardware leading to -> development costs -> return) with the remote that it has, it might've been a huge flop. Nintendo's smarter than you when it takes risks. Because you people didn't buy the Gamecube (aka the PS2+), Nintendo made the Wii the way it was. Blame yourselves.

DMC4 on next gen hardware allows Dante to switch 4 styles simultaneously and not just pretty graphics therefore Monster Hunter 3 on next gen hardware allows more variety and features.

No wonder you're the captain of the retard force.

They're monsters in that...they aren't real..... in that the don't need to look anything other than like computer generated monsters

I don't know about you lot, but i play games, i don't sit there thinking....hmmm could look a little more shiny, and the sound isn't quite right.

MP3 is more atmospheric than 99% of next gen games i've played. Controls far better than anything i have played on 360 and PS3
