Most people can't tell (and this is true unlike the 720p vs. 1080p thing) and will probably like it even. Most people have the sharpness setting on their TV's way too high.
they had the verge on for an hour and nilay was saying none of the voice stuff works for him (other guy disagreed), the tv stuff was useless and negatively impacted tv watching and using a controller is annoying for the UI because some things are buried due to being designed around voice. Nilay also said he wouldn't buy it right now for $500

I've fixed all of my friends TV settings. They aren't perfect, but I've turned off motion smoothers and sharpness on all of them. How do people think that shit looks good?

All of Nilay's criticism was good. Honestly he made good points about the problems. Points other people have already made.
Verge is great at device reviews and was judging the XB1 from that perspective. Not surprised they (really Nilay) took a dump on it. Some good ideas, just that all of it seems half baked.

Man this Killer Instinct coverage on the stream is cringe worthy. Not sure if their gameplay or that one guy's voice is moreso though.

True. I went to my dads and we watched a movie while I was there and the colors were so jacked up on his TV and the sharpness was cranked I had a headache after the movie was done. I tried to fix it quietly before I left the best I could.

Because, generally speaking, ambition is better than not attempting anything at all, even if it is poorly executed. We're talking about a site that fetishizes multitasking/multifunction devices. The PS4 would of course seem a little bland from that perspective.
He is a tool bag along with Josh. Not sure what his hang up with IR blasting is either. It is tech that will work with 99% of people's shit, unlike anything else MS could have used.
The fact that they think the new iPhone takes better pictures than the 1020 is a fucking joke as well.
.1 more point for 100 dollars. Well worth it.

I don't know. Maybe that slow DDR3 memory has something to do with it? And the hard drive is probably the same shitty 5,200 rpm drive they put in the PS4.

That's odd, there is very little loading in Killzone since I've had plenty of opportunities to find games with the 4 other people playing this game online.
