Nintendo is marketing WiiU for a casual audience and it's focus isn't core gamers. That's pretty evident with the types of titles that don't get released on it from third party publishers.
I think that is the main reason why Nintendo has been failing with the WiiU as of late, it's target audience isn't interested in the console anymore. One would think Nintendo will now switch approaches about who they market their console to.
The problem is, the core gamers are more interested in gaming machines that are more powerful and produce more mature titles.
