Eh, because if we didn't there's no way any store would carry ittokkun said:You didn't need to register your key to download any of the other updates, so I don't see why they would start with this one.

according to Witcher Community Assistant "...they HAVE been shipped 16th but itÂ’s the problem of the retailers now to start selling game as quick as possible "FlyinJ said:Has anyone found the boxed version in any stores yet? Man, that is one badass package...

Maybe I'll just buy retail
Mrbob said:Hmm, I don't think my free copy which came with my videocard will qualify for free enhanced edition upgrade.
The game asks for a serial number to input to register the game, and since its a freebie there isn't one. :x
Yarlen said:The ESRB is currently in the process of rating the uncensored version of the game. Once this is complete, assuming CD Projekt makes it available, we will add that to Impulse as an optional update for all those who bought the Enhanced Edition from us.
Yeah, it seems to be a bug with the digital distribution versionTheExodu5 said:Wow...I didn't know The Witcher was censored so badly. There's no blood, whatsoever. Ugh.
edit: apparently the blood isn't supposed to be censored....Steam glitch?![]()
same here only the installation guide :lolFlyinJ said:I got the enhanced edition box today.
It's packed full of stuff... making of DVD, OST, songs "inspired" by the witcher, a novella, a strategy guide, a large fold-out map.
But I noticed something missing. There's no actual game manual!
What the hell!
i was surprise when i saw that it wasn't a box, but non the less great pckgEvolveTom said:For the US version -- to make sure that retailers would actually carry it -- we had to do something to shrink the box (the Euro version is about twice as thick)... and the printed manual was sacrificed. Everything else is there, though.

Reikon said:And couldn't you guys have at least mentioned that before release? The description of the Enhanced Edition states it comes with a manual, and nothing says that the physical contents differ by region.
The only vague hint was, "Product may not be exactly as pictured in your region." That could just have meant the packaging or art differed a bit, not that the contents would be different.
It shouldn't have been listed so prominently as something included in the box if it wasn't going to be.
FlyinJ said:I agree completely. I would have gotten the import version from GoGamer if you guys actually told us that the NA SKU was getting a gutted version.
Everything I read as well stated the game came with a manual. I mean of all the things to leave out of the box? It's the fucking MANUAL.

To get a registration key for your OEM version of the witcher contact Atari using the folowing form:

Just tell them you have a OEM version of the game

MattKeil said:The lack of blood and gore in the Steam version is an error that will be fixed. All North American versions have censored the nudity present in the European version, as far as I am aware.
