Twitch "bans" the word simp, virgin, incel.

Time for a streaming platform where not all streamers are terrified of showing basic human behaviour out of fear of getting banned.
 
I legit have no idea what simp means. I know it's bad, but I don't know what it means. I understand what an incel is, (plenty of those over at Reeeee), but I don't really get simp yet.

Also, how is virgin offensive? What if some 12 year old kid is called a virgin and hops on there and says, "I'm a twelve year old boy who plays Roblox and has relatively underdeveloped male parts, of course I'm a virgin", is he banned? Seems weird to pretend virgin is an offensive word to me, like.....it's a state that literally all of us were at one time lol.

I don't understand modern culture man. Eventually it'll get to the point where referring to a woman as "she" will immediately result in a ban for "assuming gender." The world's getting crazier by the day.

Any time I see a mention of twitch mods I think of that strange small bloke who followed that streamer around, the bloke trying to high five Amouranth or that one who started crying down the phone to that bloke for losing his mod powers.

Well now that they've started, it's going to be fascinating to see how far they travel down this road before they realize where it leads.

MMOs have ban waves for players, Twitch is going to have ban waves for words.

tbh i think this is at least fair. if you are going to ban anti-trans words, you may as well be consistent in banning slurs.

Lol, I bet it's because some moderators went crying to Twitch that people kept calling them simps. Banning the word doesn't change the reality, nerds.
 
I'm pretty much done with Twitch, that site is hardly about to be games nowadays. Soon they will ban nerd and anything these snowflakes find offensive. I rather go to YouTube.
 
Just ban chat and have pre-written phrases that you click on like that old kid's MMO that I can't remember the name of.
