The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales |OT| West Philabieldia, born and raised. Talking to fairies is how I spend most of my days.

So they go with a bunch of non-union voice actors that either suck, have no experience, or both.

Got all my chores done for the day. Replaced a light fixture in my office (new LED, looks great considering the old thing I took out was a monstrosity from the 90s that came with the house). Yard work done. Floors mopped.

Fedex needs to hurry their asses up so I can get to adventurin'

lol, I'm working my ass off to get my work done, too!

I really wanna take tomorrow off through the weekend. Just a few more hours left if I really focus 👀

Very Hard seem to be the right difficulty to play at if you are just a bit familiar with these kind of games. At least getting hit has some consequences, a couple of hits and it's over. That way you have to pay attention to stuff instead of face tanking everything.

Yeah, just shift all the difficulty names down a level to get what they actually are.

My delivery originally was scheduled for yesterday. Then this morning it said it would arrive by 10am. Then it said 10am-2pm. Now it says 5pm-9pm. Guess that's what I get for living in the middle of nowhere.

I guess at least it's not gonna be 10 days late (hopefully) since it's already on a delivery truck.

I just started, played for around 2 hours, but so far I'm not impressed:
- Plot is very cliche and delivered in way that feels like elementary school play
- Characters are flat
- Gameplay is too scripted (for now at least)
- Soundtrack sounds like Disney's Magic Kingdom background music
- That f*cking princess that act like Navi from OoT just can't shut up for a second. She makes a commentary for everything: the cat that crossed our path, the wall I blew up, the weapon I just found, where should I go and what should I do. I wanted so badly to have option at least to not hear her voice. Yes, it's that annoying.

But I'll give Elliot some more time to convince me that it is a good game.

Huh, I yawned at yet another HD-2D game (I think the SNES FF style low animation frame sprites are a complete mismatch and turn off really) but watching the trailer it looks very Ys Oath/Origin style which I adore... Is it close?

Don't be so sure.

Finally got my copy in and put in an hour. Unlocked the hammer, which is pretty cool! Also got the fire magic.

Mechanically, it's basically The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with some modern additions.

Life still needs these simpler games... It takes me back to when it was all more chill. Sure I love all my big time games and shooters etc but this is classic prime gaming.

This game dare I say, is pretty fucking awesome. If you're a fan of Secret of Mana. Zelda, Beyond Oasis, Crusader of Centy, Alundra….GET THIS NOW. It taps into a past time when I was 12-15 years old and knee deep into playing all sorts of action JRPGs. And turn the voices all the way down for pure Square nostalgia without the acting getting in the way of the music.

Pretty blown away man

Definitely going to be on the GOTY list for sure I know it.

Thinking of picking up switch 2 game key card after work today, so I can play it through the weekend. Neogaf bros, should I do switch 2 or pc handheld for this?
