• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

What game are you currently playing?

I'm onto OG Resi 2 now and in the RPD.

Also been playing with setting Xbox mode up - the icons look dogshit for all imported games but there's a game around widget called Steamdb for Xbox that lets you fix this.

Got all my icons set up nicely, go to start my RE2 and now it's in a teeny, tiny box in the middle of the screen when starting from Xbox mode lol

I also can't get the classic rebirth config menu to come back up either, if anyone knows how to do that - using GOG version.

Exo Rally Championship
A fresh take on rally games because it takes place on different planets/moons and the vehicles are futuristic, featuring small jets for corrections mid-air. It's a simulation but stays fun and approachable. I love how there are no roads/paths, simply open terrain where you navigate the best way yourself like a Baja\Dakar race. The settings on different planets allow for cool obstacles tht you don't find on earth.

Shame there is no console release

Spectacular game. Very challenging and satisfying at the same time, lots of enemy variety and the combat is surprising deep. In my second playthrough now. Must buy and play for beat'em up fans.

Cool trailer, vehicles remind me of the Mako from Mass Effect.

Unless it is stupendously successful then the developers might just think about bringing it over I guess
I hope so, but it may be too niche.
When I see no more Forza, only ForzaHorizon I think the mass market demand is low for simulation games.

As a retired avid SCP Foundation reader, I (finally) got around to playing Control recently and loved it! Made me quite hyped for Control Resonant (which has looked awesome since the first reveal IMO).

As a result I now really want to experience Alan Wake 2 before Control Resonant (thanks to their shared-world and the Control AWE DLC). Conceptually I love horror, but practically I'm a huge ass baby wuss and I get super scared easily. So I've started playing Alan Wake Remastered and so far managing the horror, but it seems WAY less intense than Alan Wake 2 is going to be.

Horror aside, its actually a really fun game with super strong PS3/XBOX360 era vibes in its controls, visuals, jank, linear structure, cutscenes and all, but also an unmistaken Remedy fingerprint all over it in the story, writing, lore items (TVs, radiobroadcasts). Also, being a huge Twin Peaks fan I already feel and love influences from that.

Back to Division 2 for my looter grind after Destiny 2. Its not quite the same, the setting is less bombastic, the loot is less exciting but it has its moments.

I finally pulled the trigger on Metal Gear Solid Delta. Never played the original so no nostalgia or anything like that. Besides the sometimes very long cut scenes I really enjoy it. Gameplay still holds up great

That's because they tweaked it a lot. The movement pattern is from MGS5. The original MGS3 played quite different.

Playing Halo MCC on PC. Mid way through Halo.

I haven't played a Halo since the release of Halo 2 on Xbox and had been meaning to get back to it for um, a couple of decades. Oops.

Having just done the 'infamous' Library.... I don't get why they felt it needed a redesign more than the other levels. It's repetitive, sure but it's not that long either. I got turned around and lost quite a bit more on the previous level.

Levels being massive but also empty and samey do give the game a distinctive feel, even if it probably was a side-effect of rushed scrambling to get it onto Xbox.

I get you, i wanted to play Thimbleweed Park for 10 years now. Still haven't played it, lol.

Great game. Really scratched an itch for me after exhausting sor4.
Only downside (personal preference) is the artstyle is garish and rather ugly.

I've been playing Huntdown, it's a great old school heavy 80's themed side scroll shooter. Great soundtrack, fun game reminds me of a Sega Genesis game. Would recommend.

More Professional Baseball Spirits 2026. The high school team I'm coaching made it to Summer Koshien and we actually won our first game there (before losing to a much better school in round 2), which means we're now ranked Contender
:pie_open_mouth: . I think that means we get to scout much further away for promising first years, in the spring.

As it has been sometime since I last played/completed a point and click game, I decided to purchase Gemini Rue from Steam, it was never really a game that interested me much over the years, but I finally decided to get it and see what its about...I wish the actual sprites would act as if they were talking (as they would do in LucasArts games..) but anyway, outside of that I am trying out the prequel mission(s) in Halo...mixed up with some sessions on Star Wars Outlaws, and Forza Horizon 6
