I had tried out the Ghostery plugin for Firefox recently due to some issues I was having with other sites, and evidently I'm now getting their newsletter. I think this is the first time I'm happy to receive a newsletter, and plan (at least for the time being) to stayed subbed. This story came in my email this morning:

(This one, in particular, concerns me. Will have to give it a re-read, as the particulars are a bit much to decipher, but it seems to suggest Google wants to be able to utilize people's creative works for their own advertising without permission and/or perhaps even compensation to the authors/creators.)
