Simple question. Do arcade games all run at the same speed, wherever in the world they may be, or are there differences? What I mean is, take Tekken 5 (or whatever), if i'm in Australia, is the game exactly the same speed as if I were in Japan, or is it slower due to differences in hertz, or indeed wattage (240 vs 120) Serious answers only please! Thanks!

The vast majority of arcade boards use 60hz. Some run at slightly different sync rates. Cave PCBs use something around 58hz, and Toaplan PCBs use something similar. Sega Model 2 PCBs did, too, I think (at least, VF2 did).
There are no differences that correspond to NTSC/PAL, though.
