Ash: Archaic Sealed Heat dated (Jp)

Ironically, this is really bad news. I have too much to play. :(

LOL. But yeah, I actually some what agree with you.

Why couldn't some of this good stuff come out LAST year, when it seemed like I was practically begging for stuff worthy of my dollars and attention? Now it seems like they all want to come out at once! That's not FAIR! :lol

no.. hopefully a media blowout TGS, i think mistwalkers there.
Don't you think a media blowout at TGS, with the game due out a week later, is a little late? :P

Nice to know this date... thanks! October is going to rape my wallet :(

one week before FFTA2. I don't know if it's a good choice. We will see.
I thought FFTA2 is Oct 25?

Maybe LGC?

Uhhh... no.

Off topic here, but does anyone think Blue Dragon spin off/sequel of some kind would sell on the DS?

Yes. Mistwalker hinted a while back that they've got another DS game in the works, so hopefully it'll be a Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey game. The cool thing about doing that is that they could seriously enhance the power of these franchises in Japan by doing that -- put BD or LO on the DS and you can reach a huge number of Japanese RPG players, and that could potentially get more people hooked on the series for future 360 installments. Win/win!

Man, it's been vapourware for so long, with the same 3 target renders floating around for over a year... and now it's suddenly coming out so soon already. :p

hmm.. i think sakaguchi mentioned something like that months ago...

and yes it would sell :-)

Next to Zelda PH, my most anticipated DS title. Good to see it's still hitting 2007. But how long will the localization take?

That's how Mistwalker handled Blue Dragon. Seems they practice what Dyack preaches. :lol

It will be a nice competitor with Dragon Quest DS remakes.

The true awesome isn't that it's coming out soon, but that it's finally coming out at all. It's almost hard to believe.

It seems that no first or second party studio belonging to Microsoft can hype properly their games. First Halo (outside of America it is having way less buzz than Halo 2 or 1 had, at least here) and now this *sigh* ok, let's hope that the reviews scores it high (I really want this game to do good).

This is a bit off the main topic, but your posts reminded me; do we know when FFTA2 is coming to the US? Will it be here this year?

I see more than three. :D

I'm just afraid of it being a let down when it comes out, especially so soon. Mistwalker needs more credit.

Did they have to make this an acronym?

"ASH" is a pretty cool name.

"Archaic Sealed Heat" is the worst name since "First Encounter Assault Recon".

It's called that because that's what the story is about -- an ancient sealed flame that has the power to influence the things it comes into contact with.

Lair is about an dragons and religious turmoil, but they didn't called it "D.A.R.T."

Next year, spring at the absolute earliest but more likely summer or even fall. Squeenix USA has been super slow with the DS localizations, with basically every game delayed 3-12 months. :/

Er, okay. Well, I see Archaic Sealed Heat as a fine name considering its related to the contents of the game's story (similarly to Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest, and plenty of other RPGs); the fact that it can be condensed down into a cool acronym doesn't hurt it any, in my opinion. I'm fine with it and don't really see Lair as analogous.

Aside from FF3, which we got post haste, yeah... the length of time it's taking them to localize all their DS games royally sucks. Hopefully we'll at least get a super-quick localization on FF4r so there's something to play early next year.

FF3 was still about 3 months actually... though FF in general's had it way, way better than DQ (10 months for Rocket Slime, a full year for Joker). I think we'll probably get a FF filled Q1 though (Ring of Fates, FFIVr, Crisis Core) but lord knows how long we'll have to wait for the DQ remakes and IX. :/
