Now this is the direction future UMPCs should be following, which could make them easily the next big new tech in upcoming years. I expected to see something like this eventually, but its nice to see actually coming around this ****ing year. If everything stays on track (Jebuz please), this will be my first UMPC (and my Ultimate Handheld). Opinions.. ?!

Very impressive! It's not too much bigger than a PSP--about 2 cm wider, 2 cm taller, and 1 cm thicker--but it's packing a lot of power. It would make a very nice machine for emulation and mobile multimedia.

whether that is a estimate when its on full load is a good sign i wonder.

on a side note, im guessing the PsP next revision might be just improved battery life smaller chipset etc etc. just a thought :)

Off topic, but I've always thought "Averatec" was a bad name for a company...

This thing looks really nice though.

the 2lbs will kill my wrists sadly.. and im afraid itll heat up like a mofo..

Its sweet looking for sure.

I also am kinda warry on celerons (yes yes) and the graphics .. but still nice..

Probably all worthy concerns, but I'm willing to bite the bullet to indulge in all this handheld sex.

That really does look tasty. The keyboard perhaps looks a little awkward to touch type with, given you'd have to maneuver your fingers over the "ledge" that's created between the sidegrips and the recessed, sliding screen. But it may not be as pronounced IRL as it seems in the picture. Hopefully it's not too good to be true.
