Not sure if this counts as NeoGaf-worthy, but I visited direct2download.com and got a mostly white screen with

D2D
Free 4 All

at the top, and broken links all around. I searched direct2download hacked and found a google link to

http://www.direct2download.com/dht.htm, which, at the time of posting had the following text:

hacked:chinahacker,qq:85926628, msn:dht@dhthacker.com

I tried to use wayback machine to see if this page existed before, but wayback is experiencing technical difficulties.

I hope they didn't lose all their customer data, but I'm sure they back that stuff up.

Sorry if unimportant/old, searched direct2download with no hits.

edit: Sorry, I'm a moron. As someone pointed out, direct2download != direct2drive. My bad.

Although the interface isn't as nice as steam, I actually find the game selection a bit nicer, on the whole. I think direct2download is owned by IGN, could be wrong, but they had supreme commander/other THQ titles for a while (whereas steam just got them a little bit ago).

I'm a big sucker for impulse buys.

Direct2drive is still up and running.
