Can we get some translations up in here? I really don't want to have to go to Gamefaqs and have some douche translate it. :lol

I don't think anyone can read it. Wait for a better scan, the trailer will be out soon enough anyway.

I'm sorry for ever doubting Japanese developers. DMC4 looks absolutely insane and is now near the top of my want list along with MGS4.

Oh and edit that out. We don't need this shit here.
Yeah. Only in the NG2 threads where it's allowed.

*Devil Bringer mechanic - Offers long-ranged grapple attacks and set ups that are fundamentally completely different from DMC as this is the first time grapples to be fully implemented in the game. Only available to Nero though. Devil Bringer also has some QTE like sequences against bosses but there is no giant O on the screen to tell you to initiate the sequence, you sort of have to figure it out. Huge change in DMC's combat with this little hand.

*Devil Bringer also allows new platforming and puzzle solving stuff. The people who care about that adventure stuff might be pleased but I personally will be using the Devil Bringer to pull up enemies and manipulate their placements.

*Exceed Mechanic - This one is for the pros. The L2 button has been mapped to this mechanic for Nero. It's a timing based mechanism that allows for upto 3 timed inputs during an attack that saves up a charge for the next attack, unleashing loads of power. A charged up move changes the property of that move almost completely (ie. double launcher, higher range, higher power, more knockback, chargeable property).

*On the Fly Style Switch - Dante only. Style switch has been added for Dante in full realtime (not the shitty non-realtime weapon switch of NG2). It's mapped to the D-pad (one D-pad for each of one of the four main styles). You can essentially use all of the Style combat moves at once as opposed to DMC3 where you are limited to only one at a time. HUGE HUGE change in game play for Dante.

*Addition of Sprint. Basically the character runs really fast. Not that huge but oddly this is the first DMC game to have it.

*Some smaller changes made to existing game play. The move "Drive" that was in DMC3 which was weak and underpowered now comes in 3 quick strokes and is changed to the O button, making it bufferable while doing NORMAL attacks. Roundtrip move makes a return for Dante from DMC1 (he missed that move in DMC3) and is mapped to hold Triangle now. We haven't really seen much from Dante, aside from like a 30 second clip. Most of the moves have some added effects, some with generally the same animation as the ones in DMC3 while others are radically altered.

Now we have seen equipped with a brand spanking new gauntlet weapon "Gilgamesh" which is the 3rd one in the series (after Ifrit and Beowulf). This pretty much confirms all new weapons for Dante.

Nero's moves/weapons/abilities are generally new anyway and he has a Charged gun attack that upgrades his regular attack to a move resembling that of a powerful shotgun blast. Normally gun charges don't radically change the property of attack (in the case of Dante) but this is where Nero's Devil Bringer really makes the difference.

We still don't know about the other abilities of the Devil Bringer nor do we know of the other new weapon or the existing Devil Trigger but we DO know that both Nero and Dante will have DT. This TGS Capcom should be unveiling a lot more on the combat side of things.
