Dragon's Dogma 2: 4 Million "Arisen" Worldwide

Got to 3 million sales in two months, and takes another 18 months to get to 4 million.

Another year in the oven instead of being rushed out and this game probably would have had much longer legs.

Guys...the director of this game left Capcom months ago
Both Dark Arisen and DD Online where directed by a different guy, Kinoshita. Without Itsuno to push for it yeah it's difficult for a DLC to happen, but not impossible.

and to top it off he also took some of his best devs with him.
First time I hear about this. Wonder if he'll try and make a game like DD in his new company. Dude always said that it was his dream game and I doubt he's really satisfied with DD2.

Good point. I just think if they had any roadmap or plans something would have been announced by now, even just a logo or a character skin/outfit.

It seems that all effort in any fantasy property is being put into Monster Hunter, so that makes me think DD has been abandoned.

From a consumer perspective, him and his team had one more shot and kind of succeeded (sales), but also kind of failed (critically).

Honestly at this point I'd rather have Capcom realize Breath of Fire exists again and give us a remastered collection of those games.

Yeah I agree completely. All they've given us so far is an Easy Mode for a game that's already piss easy and a .PNG Overlay for the 1st annyversary of the game. I'd love to have enhough hopium left but I think this series is dead and buried.

Sure hope I'm wrong because I love it.

I have probably 6-700 hours in Dark Arisen, one of my favorite games of all time. The sequel though, haven't even considered it yet due to all negativity I've heard with the performance issues and the game basically being a rehash of the first. I do want to play it some day but I think I will be in for a massive disappointment which might tarnish my view of the first and I don't know if I want that. I hold Dark Arisen in very high regards and I very much want to keep it that way.

Might be best if you don't play it then.

Music is worse, story is worse and the characters are devoid of any kind of charm. Aside from that it's basically DD with better graphics and some gameplay changes to combat that you might like or not.

Imagine a slower Dragon's Dogma that's more grounded in combat. And instead of a handful of expertly crafted dungeons you have 80+ caves from Resident Evil 4 Remake.

The high point is exploration. Everything else I feel is inferior. Even the character creator. I like DDDA's better.

One of the best exploration and adventure feeling games this gen. Glad it found some success, I would immediately trade the MH expansion for a DD2 expansion.

I liked it until that idiotic shit where your pawn kills everyone in the town you are in and fucks up all kinds of shit in the game. Just absolutely killed my joy.
yes! if you didn't have this happen, you didn't enjoy the true travesty that was dragon's dogma 2...

&, yes, there's an idiotically complicated way to undo it, which i actually did manage to do, but fuck that...
