No other game short of Counterstrike has had the same longevity for me. Every year it's reinstalled multiple times and played to death for a month. There is so much depth that even 5 years later I'm still finding new gameplay mechanics (and I'm still short a trancend difficulty victory).

The AI characters stand out so clearly in my memory still. Sister Miriam particularly, I don't know why. What a cow!

I spent a whole summer in front of Alpha Centauri and Alien Crossfire. In my opinion it's better than Civilization (and almost every other game too for that matter) in almost every way. And it's available for Linux - what a deal!

We need an AC2. That would be my most anticipated game ever. I just wish Civ would adopt the customizable units of AC.
