Yes but that doesn't mean that they want to go back to the same boring stuff from before soulslikes reinvigorated us. We want to move on to the next big thing, not revert back to generic open world checklists. Soulslike wasn't a phase we can grow out of, it is additive to the expectations we now have for games engaging us.
At some point you've got to draw the line. This isn't even necessarily about gender, but watching a tiny, feather-light woman dominate in melee combat is just beyond ridiculous. They could have at least gone with someone like Brienne of Tarth, she gave a very believable performance in Game of Thrones.
Unlike Ghost of Yotei, Street Fighter is a parody, where, by the way, also small women can beat up Zangief. Smaller men can defeat bigger men, but it's rare and definitely not six at once in 20 seconds. In real martial arts, weight classes and gender divisions exist for a good reason. And since I already suggested at least a somewhat more believable actress, please don't turn this into misogynistic nonsense.
We all know she will be played by Bella Ramsey in the movie adaption, so being tiny (and strong, and independent) is a positive.

Combat is one of the worst parts of the first game. The exploration is one of the best parts. To me, it's incredibly tone def to keep releasing this combat clips that look like it's being played on an easier than easy mode. They need to focus on the world and atmosphere. Cozy sells.
Maybe they focused their hirings and promotions on DEI instead of in getting the best candidates for each position. Including for people who made the visuals or these marketing clips.

But if you want it: Kassandra is also laughable, while Lara works for me, because many of her kills are with the bow or from stealth, and she doesn't just jump into a camp with six men and have them all dead in 20 seconds. Apart from that, the new Lara was criticized for not being as attractive anymore, so by your logic, i shouldn't like the games, but i do.
