currently about 77 percent through the ryder white dlc for DEAD ISLAND. Short background : huge dead island fan - played the base game with the girl who is good with knives and swords - picked up ryder white dlc a few weeks ago for 2 bucks.
Im loving the ryder white campaign, but i cant help notice that most of the features of the main game just do not exist here.. No leveling up, no maps, only 2 weapon mods i've come across.. Worst of all its completely linear whereas dead island is an open world game.
My whole point being that for 2 bucks i'm not necessarily upset.. But why not have a full campaign with all the mechanics of the base game? Are you okay with dlc that has gimped features - if its the right price.. Or is it never okay?
