I don't think there's any way multiplayer isn't available down the line. That's like remaking Half Life 2 without the gravity gun. Multiplayer is Halo. It's a part of what makes it special.

This is Halo Combat Evolved we're talking about. Halo CE only had split screen multiplayer, and didn't have "traditional" multiplayer until MCC.

Online multiplayer was introduced with Halo 2 as Xbox Live didn't even exist when Combat Evolved came out so idk if that analogy works here.

Thing is I don't think this is going to be their only Halo game and I don't think they would want to come up with several different multiplayer modes, they would be kind of competing with each other. They probably want one MP mode that covers everything that will expand as games get added, with future titles in the same engine as this remake. It might not have its own dedicated mp, but it's there. Just speculation
