I'm pretty sure the gameplay won't do it for me, but I'm happy to give it a try before release. If nothing else I'm interested in how good it looks outside of the HD trailer.

The gameplay is either going to kick all sorts of ass or blow real hard.

it's gonna be the QTE demo with Nariko on the rope, then on the platform fighting bad dudes, then in the next area after she crashes the platform.

that's my expectation anyway.

Actually that was confirmed by IGN that it is indeed the same demo as seen at Gamers Day (though prob newer build).

I give that award to the Blacksite: Area 51 Preview Demo, it is about 8min long if you suck at FPS games about 5 if you are good.

Also, something in the mail that says coming soon isn't always the case. For example, I had an email from a month or so ago that said the Blast Factor add-on was "coming soon" and it's been over a month since then.

Sony's Dave Karracker believes this week, and considering Europe is supposed to get Heavenly Sword on Thursday, we're betting we'll see the same here in the States."

Even more good news! And don't worry Sony has already confirmed a worldwide release of the HS demo, to hit this week!

"Hi, this is Kyle, I’m a producer here at SCEA’s Santa Monica Studios. One of the titles I am working on, and quite frankly playing most often, is Heavenly Sword. I’ve read a lot of your comments on this blog about this title and I’m happy to confirm the reports that we’ll have a downloadable demo coming this week to the PLAYSTATION Store.

The complete game is still set for September, but I think you’ll find this demo is a great sample of what’s in store and it’ll certainly give you a good idea of the look and feel of the game. To set the stage here, at the beginning of this demo, our heroine, Nariko, gains consciousness after a violent encounter with the evil King Bohan and his army. Nariko learns that Bohan is holding her father, Shen, prisoner inside a massive temple complex so she sets out to fulfill her destiny and embarks on a quest for vengeance against the invading King and his army.

Keep a lookout for the demo on the PLAYSTATION Store this week, I’m anxious to read what you guys think of it."

If Ratchet demo came out this Thursday too that would be sweet. But I don't expect it.

FW 1.9, HS demo, maybe R&C demo, MGS4... This week is a good week for Sony guys. Even better than the Killzowned E3 one I might say.

It has been good for Sony since GDC. Glad to see they have woken up from their 2 year slumber.

I'd love a Ratchet demo but people like us are in the minority here. They need to spotlight a game a week with a demo. Heavenly Sword this week and maybe Ratchet & Clank next week. They could intermittently keep a mix of trailers for games that are a way off and demos for games that aren't that far off.
