I really hope taking out helis with RPGs is not as easy as they made it look in that trailer though.

Hopefully they put some extra effort into getting the weapons audio right, as that was a major area where HLL fell flat compared to competitors like Post Scriptum or Red Orchestra/Rising Storm.

Ooh nice, we don't get enough Vietnam games, Rising Storm was brilliant. I hope they fix a lot of the HLL QOL issues with this though, build it on a newer version of the engine and fix some jank. Wonder how the original HLL will be supported after this.

I think the last one I played was Shellshock on PS2.

FYI for people. The og hell let loose guys are working on an extraction shooter called Hunger.

HLL is being maintained by a new studio that team 17 setup. It's not clear who has been working on this game but I'm skeptical either way.

Kinda off-topic but Hunger looks fucking cool. I'll play it on console when it hits in 2048

If you're craving a slow, communications-heavy milsim that respects your time enough to punish you for misusing it, and you don't mind working around some preview-build roughness and a learning curve that hasn't softened much, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam looks like it's still very much itself. PC Steam Open Beta Weekend

Following an incredible closed beta weekend which saw just shy of 20,000 players come and play, test and enjoy Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, we are now ready to move to our next phase of testing.

We will be running a free-to-play open Beta weekend on the Thanh Hóa Bridge map, taking place on May 29 to June 1. The details are as follows:

I really didn't like Hell Let loose at all so I will be waiting for a free weekend. It's tough because Battlefield bad company Vietnam was one of my all time favorite multiplayer games.
