Intel: Yes, There Will be 10nm Desktop CPUs.

I really don’t know why people are obsessed with the marketing ploy of nanometer (it’s not indicative of actual size). So long as the continue to be the best, Intel can call Sapphire Rapids 60nm+++.

Trouble is that for many roles 14nm++ is no longer the best.

And Intel, like everyone else, need a smaller node for its density. AMD are soon up to 16 cores on mainstream desktop and will hit 64 cores per socket on Epyc.
