"Fuck Konami" he muttered.
Shitty programmers compromise that "design choice" all the time.
No, they just have different goals and don't really care about hitting 60fps.
They don't really care about hitting 30 either from the looks of it. Also a design choice? .

Edit: Sorry for the off-topic posting. Like I said, it would've been really interesting to see Fox Engine adapted on more games besides football to see its prowess. But with Julien leaving, it seems unlikely.
Good for him. Who the fuck would want to work for Konami anymore.
If he wanted to keep his job he should have learned how to fix a pachinko machine.
He wants to leave because Konami doesn't have any more "ambitious projects" on home consoles for him to work on
so they're not even going to put out a shitty mgs6?
wow.
Maybe they should just license the engine out and give up with games.
They could, but without reliable tools, extensive documentation, and tech support from Konami (who won't want to pay for that) it would be an unappealing license. It's why Unreal Engine is so prolific; documentation and support.
At least the FOX Engine will do great things for gambling machines.I can't even imagine how shitty he must feel to work so hard on the FOX Engine, only for the restructuring to make it all seem for naught.
What are the chances of Konami still being around in 5 years?

As a company in general. In console games or as a company generally?
Konami doesn't make money off games nowadays. They're perfectly fine and will be for years to come.
Id say pretty high. They don't do traditional gaming development anymore.
Oh cool. Just read they operate a bunch of fitness clubs and have their hands in anime, slot machine and toy markets. I thought most of Konami's income came from video games.
Julien Merceron is the reason why Metal Gear Solid V came to PC
PES didn't even need the FOX engine so I'm not too happy with how he pushed for it to be used in the game.
You're going to have to explain this one to me?

We've just gotten new information from our sources. Apparently, Konami has 0 AAA console game currently in development/planned. The only console game they plan on releasing next year is PES 2017. When Konami said they were already working on the next Metal Gear, it was pure BS.
Here is the article we wrote about it: http://www.gameblog.fr/news/53518-konami-arrete-les-jeux-aaa-console-aucun-metal-gear-en-prepa
That can't be right since they just announced a new Powerful Pro Baseball game for PS3/PS3/Vita for Spring 2016: http://www.konami.jp/pawa/new/
You might need better sources.

Would that count as AAA? It seems to be something they just do yearly in Japan with a somewhat loyal following.
Please take Fox Engine with you Julien ):
