KH2 news + new Tales game

I guess they were able to convince her to do it afterall. She said a few months back that she didn't want to do another theme for KH.

The character designs are better than the ones in Tales for the PSP, that's for sure.
That dude's 6pack looks digusting, though...

How many Tales games came out this generation? Common Namco I'm sure you can do something new. Not that I hate Tales games or anything....

hey duckroll! long time no see ;) but it's good you are back, just in time for the Square enix party.

I've been around, just busy with work that's all. Can't keep up posting news like I used to. Trying though! I see I managed to get 1 out of 2! Seems neo beat me to Tales of the Abyss yesterday. :D

I have the lyrics to "passion" here...

"passion"
by Utada Hikaru

Across the street the river runs
Down in the gutter life is slipping away
Let me still exist in another place
Running under cover of a helicopter blade

The flames are getting higher in effigy
Burning down the bridges of my memory
Love may still be alive somewhere someway
Where they’re downing only deer
A hundred steel towns away

Oh rhythm of my heart is beating like a drum
With the words ’i love you’ rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam for I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I’ll be sailing

Photographs and kerosene light up my darkness
Light it up, light it up
I can still feel the touch of your thin blue jeans
Running down the alley I’ve got my eyes all over you baby
Oh baby

Oh the rhythm of my heart is beating like a drum
With the words ’i love you’ rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam for I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky I’ll be sailing
I’ll be sailing

Oh I’ve got lightning in my veins
Shifting like the handle of a slot machine
Love may still exist in another place
I’m just yanking back the handle
No expression on my face

Oh the rhythm of my heart is beating like a drum
With the words ’i love you’ rolling off my tongue
Never will I roam for I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I’ll be sailing

Oh the rhythm of my heart is beating like a drum
With the words ’i love you’ rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam for I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I’ll be sailing

The rhythm of my heart is beating like a drum
With the words ’i love you’ rolling off my tongue
Never will I roam for I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I’ll be sailing

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Yea.... those lyrics are a Rod Stewart song...

And as for Tales of The Abyss...

Wasnt there awhile back a sequal to Tales of Symphonia announced for GC?
What ever happend to that?

And, why all these PS2-exclusive Tales?
What about the fanbse on GC?

It sold purdy well...

It was always just a rumor.

One that never made much sense to me, at that, as a sequel already exists in the form of Tales of Phantasia. Just a shame it's been passed over for localization 3 times now.

I'm guessing it's a move by Namco to recoup losses from their other, um, less successful RPG ventures (Xenosaga series, Namco x Capcom, Baten Kaitos, etc). Tales, on PS2 at least, is a guaranteed hit, so they're going to milk it for all it's worth. ;)

While that certainly true it's also easy to overlook that Tales of Symphonia is the most successful Tales game that has been released in the United States (or atleast that's what I've heard). I wouldn't ignore the fanbase completely, a port would be nice for Cube owners.

Oh, true enough. Unfortunately, neither Tales Studio or Namco Japan seem to care about US sales for this series, so I doubt that's even taken into consideration.

Instead, this side of the pond is left entirely in Hometek's hands, who are pretty much just batshit insane when it comes to their localization choices. Opting to pass up Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Phantasia (3 times!), and Tales of Rebirth, just to pick up Nightmare of Druaga, Baten Kaitos, Arc the Lad: End of Darkness, and other such failed ventures in their stead. Absolute brilliance at work, right there.

And from what I've heard, Symphonia only hit the US because of Nintendo, and that without their involvement, Hometek would have passed on it as well. Really wouldn't surprise me if that turned out to be true.

Well, we are getting Tales of Legendia, and I seriously hope people buy it en masse like they did ToS so that Hometek localizes more Tales games.
