Re Demo:

Square Enix will release a demo for Lost Sphear next week in Japan, the company announced at Tokyo Game Show 2017.

The demo will let you play the beginning parts of the game. Save data from the demo can be carried over to the full game when it launches.

Further details about the demo, including a specific launch date, will be announced in a few days.

Lost Sphear is due out for PlayStation 4 and Switch on October 12 in Japan, and for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on January 23 in the Americas and Europe.

Didn't know Japan is getting this game earlier... Will check out the demo on Switch next week.

Hope JP impressions of the full version will justify the price point once launched.

I preordered it a while ago. I hope it'll fix my RPG hunger at least just a little before Xenoblade 2.
I'm waiting for this one more than Octopath Traveler.
Didn't really think the writing was especially impressive in the demo.

On the hand, the game looks much more polished and fun than Setsuna (reasonably so, as its Tokyo RPG Factory's second game); on the other hand, it looks more soulless and anonymous.
