Hello everyone!

You probably seen me on the forums now and again, and I am usually in the SEGA news threads that Kazza Kazza , DunDunDunpachi DunDunDunpachi and now and again Bullet Club Bullet Club create.

I decided to make a thread based purely for Video Game Remixes of SEGA games because...well...you don't see as many remixes of SEGA's output than you do for Nintendo. (and probably Castlevania/Mega Man).

However, there are a lot of Sonic Remixes!

The Idea
​
The idea is to hopefully get people to recognize how brilliant SEGA's Talented Music Teams are, and to show you what fans are capable of.

Wave Master is SEGA's primary Music Team that have done endless compositions for the games and you will rarely hear anyone complain that SEGA's music sucks (except they had a rut in the mid 2000s but those games also sucked so...)

They have evolved from the Original SEGA Sound Team (SST) and SEGA Digital Studio.

For any Nintendo fans who are not convinced? They created this for Nintendo!

As for Sonic....they don't usually touch Sonic because SEGA have Crush 40, Dreams Come True amongst others making the music, which is still amazing but.....they have licensing issues because of this.

The Plan

The plan is first to get as many people playing the amazing library of SEGA games that are available and perhaps sway a few haters that you can enjoy the games that, in my honest opinion, are up there with the best.

I have wonderful memories with a lot of SEGA games, and it is a damn shame that you can't find as many fan remixes because of it.

This is where you GAFFERS come in! Please make this a wonderful library of Music Euphoria and get those who make these remixes to do more based on your favourite SEGA games and add a twist to them!

Do you like Billy Hatcher's music but perhaps hate the Xylophone? Rock it up a notch!

Feel like Fantasy Zone's original Cutesy Music is dull and needs to be Sanic-fied? I got you covered!

Wondered what Power Drift would sound like if they modernised the music? Here you go!

With so many possibilities to great tunes, SEGA games are perfect for sprucing up already amazing games and take it up to 11!

Get these amazing fans a platform and hopefully we can contribute ourselves if we are part time musicians.

I have tried to get as much in as possible, and I will try to add more when I can (there are great OutRun remixes I need to find as well as a Streets of Rage Medley I cannot find).

The message is to try and find these remix gems across the internet!

Use YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud and possibly Deezer to find these great remixes and post them on here!

Great thread! Unfortunately, I don't have the musical talent or knowledge to contribute too much, but I have been a long time fan of Iceferno's remixes. SoR, Sonic and Shinobi seem to be his favourite go-to games, but he is open to requests via small donations on Patreon. These are my favourites:




Terrible Beat knocked my socks off as a kid, and iceferno manages to give it new energy here. If there ever is a new Shinobi game using remixed tracks, I hope this is included.




A very nice Sonic Mania Press Garden Zone/Shinobi mix (very appropriate considering the Shinobi-esque end boss).


Given the name of the thread, it's only fair that another Magical Sound Shower remix is included. Here is a great live performance from 1989:

I personally like unique remixes but it is whatever anyone wants it to be.

If we did all small arrangements then I would have covered everything in 7th Dragon 2020 and 3 as I love the music in both games (I played the English Patch of 2020 but I own thr UMD to it)

That remix is something fierce! 😍😍😍

This guy does some great guitar covers/arrangements (his Black Knight 2000 pinball cover is epic), here is his take on the Virtua Cop theme.
