Blizzard sure loves their female characters. Normally I'm not the biggest fan of their design, although this one actually looks kind of cool.

I don't play Overwatch , but my brother does and he said that when the game first came out it had very few female characters compared to the male ones, so that might be reason they're releasing so many now.

She sounds and looks awesome. But, like the past few heroes, I'll probably only play her for a round and then stop playing the game again until the next hero is out lol

Not sure honestly, at the moment it is sitting at 13 male (14 if you count Bastion as a male character) and 13 female heroes. So it seems to be even at the moment, though I wish they would make a new defense character. It's the only class that hasn't received a new character while Offense has gotten 2, Support got 3 and Tank has gotten 1.

I guess this as well they really just make what they think fits instead of making a class for each role. They build the characters around the meta, instead of making the meta form to the character.

She's basically the anti-dive support. Emongg was showing how she can one-shot tracers with shield bash + regular attack + rocket flail thing. Her heals are low on paper, 80 health over 5 seconds per hit of attack/skill (doesn't stack, new hits just refresh duration) but it adds up a lot, very similar to Lucio. Her skill heal is on a 6 second cooldown and heals 150 health and adds up to 75 armor depending on the amount of overheal. Her ult looks really underwhelming, but it might be that way to balance out the rest of her kit. Basically adds 15 armor every 0.5 seconds in a 10m radius to all allies over 10 seconds, caps at 150 armor added if allies take no damage.
She looks like she's a lot of fun to play though, and the personal shield will make her very hard to kill in 1v1s for Genji/Tracer. I can see myself playing her a bunch in quickplay since I usually fill anyways, but Mercy is the only healer that really works well for solo healing and I don't like playing her too much hehe. I can definitely see her thriving in a death ball meta, her heals are very powerful if your team is all grouped up. Definitely happy to see another support hero and I appreciate the variety available there now, definitely a lot of choices to choose from!

I remember seeing the Reinhadt video and wishing Tjorborns hot daughter was in the game (instead of Moira) and now here she is!
I wasnt motivated to play Overwatch during the last event. I hope this new character will encourage me to get back into the game.

I think Brigitte really is the hero nobody missed but the game was lacking. She seems to be the perfect off-healer, if you already have an Ana, Mercy or Moira in your team. She really shines healing non-tank heroes, excels against non-tank dive and also provides a constant healing stream, when engaged. She really opens up a lot of new options and must agree with Blizzard, when they're saying that she will change the meta, because i'm pretty damn sure, that this is really the case.

You should not underestimate her shield. Sure, it's way smaller than Reinhardt's and most of the time it will not give you much cover, but in many situations it will absorb at least a very substantial amount of damage for the DPS right behind you. To really shine you will need DPS that are smart with their movement and positions. In other occasions you can easily absorb Pharah or Junkrat spam, because you will get no movement penalty when using the shield.

I might jump off MHW and go try her out tonight. my friend's been bugging me to play OW with him again lol. I don't think I'll be able to grab her in QP all that much with everyone always jacking the new characters as usual, but it'll be fun to at least play with her in the team. I think she'll be greqt with Rein (duh!) and Zarya, maybe Hog and Orissa too.

The President of Hi-Rez said that Brigitte is a rip off of Ash, which makes even less sense.
Seems people are looking for the smallest similarities to say that an Overwatch character is ripping off a character from some other game even though the comparison makes no sense at all.

She doesnt look that good in the game though. Bliz may even have "un-prettied" her a bit deliberately. I havent had a great look at her yet, so Im not sure.
