This may sound crazy but I end up getting more for my money on Nintendo platforms. Because I know games rarely go on sale, I pretty much only buy what I'll play and when I'll play it. No backlog at all.

When Best Buy is throwing 20% off all releases, new and old, it's hard to argue against.

When you're lucky you get to stack multiple discounts, as I did last week. Buy 1, Get 1 40% off, 20% off, and $25 off $100, all in the same transaction.

Yeah I would even say more than yearly along with all the other Capcom games. It seems like RE 3D Mercenaries is on sale every other month. The thing that never goes on sale is the Dual Destinies dlc episode.

I know it's more likely that Nintendo didn't feel the need to discount anything right now, but since third parties always say they can't compete with Nintendo on their platforms, I wonder if Nintendo decided to sit out a sale or two.

It's pretty cute and yeah, it's a nice jrpg of yore. Beware though, the game's battle system is entirely touch screen based so if youre not okay with that, steer clear.

how's the Wii U version of RE Revelations

Pretty great, imo. The character models look fantastic and it has some functionality with miiverse & the gamepad that others don't. I really enjoyed my time with the game.

I thought it was really neat and pretty cool. I did get stuck somewhere and could never figure out how to progress though.

I hadn't owned Nintendo hardware since the SNES until I bought the n3DS in May, and the near-total lack of meaningful sales on the platform has been a real eye-opener for me. The system and the games are great, but the prices on years-old games are astonishing.

From my experience, you're almost as likely to see a price increase over time than decrease with Nintendo games. SM64S launched in 2004 at MSRP $29.99, but after 8 years or so the MSRP rose to $34.99
