I think the problem is just that they chose some boring-looking locales for the shots, and they are so small that you can't really appreciate the technical side of things so much. I think that's why people are finding them a bit meh.

OK, I haven't really been following this game much because I don't play games on PC anymore, but what I HAVE seen is merely talking about the amazing graphics.

Now, the graphics ARE amazing, but it still just looks like it will play like Far Cry, but with amazing graphics. If this is the case, isn't it still going to be a shit game?

Just curious. Unless there's a lot more I don't know about the gameplay aspects of the game.

These two screens look like they are from different games.

The one on top represents some of the best visuals I have ever seen.

The one on the bottom just looks like a high res Far Cry. It's weird.

It'd suffer much more than a little bit of a hit man. There is a DX9 mode though.

Those shots are DX9. In fact 95% of the Crysis media that has been shown has been DX9. Crytek don't want to demo with DX10 because the drivers are shit and it paints a bad picture for Vista and DX10.

Hope my 8800gts SuperClocked gets here soon. I'm not even sure that'll cut it tbh.

These comments always make me laugh. That card will run this game at high settings with a very good frame rate on a 20"-22" monitor i almost guarantee (DX9). DX10 performance is still a little up in the air though.
