Sounds like it may be using a deferred rendering engine which would cause the low amount of specialized RAM to be an issue for the framebuffer since lighting wouldn't be calculated on the shader.

The news is that the listing also mentions Xbox One.

I think OP got it mixed up.

The Capcom TGS presentation was very PS centric, as they only mentioned the PS5 for the game as well, not the Xbox or PC. So they only announced the PS4 version there, a proper Xbox One announcement and pre orders should go live in their next RE showcase in October.

I mean, I hope this isn't the case but is it possible they're just using generic placeholder pic? It would be odd for capcom to advertise RE4 coming to Series S/X but have an issue with mentioning Xbox One.

Do physical Xbox boxes ever show "series S"? I've never actually seen one. Omitting XSX from the label would make sense because of its lack of a disk drive.

Because Series S does not have any physical media support. There can be never be Series S version of physical games.
