Splinter Cell anime adaptation in the works

Netflix and Ubisoft have teamed for an anime series adaptation of the video game “Splinter Cell

Derek Kolstad, best known for his work writing the “John Wick” film franchise, will serve as writer and executive producer on the series.

Kolstad has worked on all three “John Wick” films that have been produced to date, with the films having grossed over $584 million combined worldwide

the series has received a two-season, 16 episode order at the streaming service.

I hope it means a sequel or a reboot is in the pipeline. Why invest in such a franchice otherwise? Seems like a similar partnership to cyberpunk. Both netflix and the developer will take adventage of the synergy. Everyone probably noticed how the witcher tv series bumped sales and interest in the game again.
