Valve fucked up the latest Steam OS update. They removed a major feature. You can't force lower or higher resolution anymore which makes some games unplayable, especially some Atlus ones where the text is near unreadable which was usually fixed by forcing a resolution. WTF is Valve doing.

I remember needing to do that. P5R looks like a mess (not just text too, it was a jaggy everywhere) at native res so I had to force a higher 900p resolution. It looked worse than the Switch version if you don't do that. Unfortunately I currently don't have my Deck on me so I can't check what possible remedies there are.

afaik they fix it in the next beta update... so will be available again in stable soon I guess. Why they removed/changed it in the first place? I honestly don't know

It seems that they are finally backtracking right now. The feature has already returned in the beta channel.

A good guide. There's quite a few others on YouTube too.

Honestly, it looks painful but it's very easy once you get going. The only tricky emulator I had a bit of a problem getting running was the Amiga but that was just down to the Bios files in the end.

If anyones interested I had a bit of a winner last night. I thought I'd reinstall this on the 1tb OLED..

And.. it works, flawlessly

No idea if they've done it through Proton magic, but it works. No hitches, no weird frames, no crashing..

It just works!

I'd gave up on the PC version years ago and the last time I'd fully played it was via the PS3 (Truly painful..) or on the Xbox.
