I know most of you havent tried it and I know it has some major drawbacks.
But with my return to nVidia graphics I tried it again and found that the latest nViidia drivers let me play Doom 3 and Half Life 2 (and other games of course) without many of the problems I had with other drivers.
Cons:
- only half the refresh rate, you need a good monitor to play at 1024, a very good one to play at 1280.
- eyestrain/ghosting
- No LCD monitors
- still some games wont run or not very good or some hassle to configure them
Pros:
- Cheap (if you find some used Revelator glasses)
- 1024x768 or 800x600 doesnt really look that bad with 4xAA
- an expierence that makes normal 3D gaming look flat and boring
