Another great translation from AGTP (Aeon Genesis), probably the best group out there.

Super Robot War EX was the fourth Super Robot Wars game ever released, after Super Robot Wars for Game Boy, Super Robot Wars II for Famicom and Super Robot Wars III for Super Famicom. It was the first SRW-friendly game with difficulty levels, weapon upgrades and even tutorials; featuring guest characters from the three previous games as main characters, and main characters from the three previous games as guest characters.

A remake of the game appeared six years later in Playstation, as part of Super Robot Wars Complete Box, and as a separated game one year later.

Translation also includes a "music persist" patch. All SRW games feature custom themes for each robot series; old SRW stop the theme as soon as attack sequence ends, so you never heard much of robot's theme, this patch let the theme plays until the turn ends or another robot from another series attacks.

Amazing period to be into retro gaming translations right now.

Just this year there were:

• Metal Slader Glory - a visual novel that pushed the NES to its limits. Translated just for the NES version, with a SNES patch in works. The SNES version doesn't have all censored stuff (like a bath scene) but some suggestive content was restored and more importantly cut story concepts
• Metal Max - an open world non-linear JRPG. The SNES remake was previously translated, but the NES version came a few weeks ago
• Majin Tensei 2, Last Bible 3, Shin Megami Tensei if - various SMT games awaited for a very long time that received translations this year
• Ni no Kuni DS - a different retelling of the same story as the PS3 version released in the west
• Panorama Cotton - finished, in beta-testing. A Space Harrier clone that pushes the Genesis to its limits
• Ihatovo Monogatari - finished, in beta-testing. Fans of Professor Layton and walking sims with decent plotlines (based here on the works of a famous Japanese novelist) will probably find some joy here.
