Not really. I played Street Fighter 6 when it launched and actually had a lot of fun learning it
But once I hit Gold, it was obvious my opponents knew something I didn't, and I bounced off it pretty hard.
These days, I only boot it up when I'm drunk, makes losing easier to laugh off.

Gootecks went from being a respected FGC content pioneer to a polarizing online figure after Excellent Adventures ended. Once known for community positivity, he pivoted toward political commentary and anti-establishment rhetoric, especially after Twitch removed the PogChamp emote in 2021 for his Capitol riot–related tweets. The change seems rooted in burnout, loss of direction after Mike Ross left, and a broader shift toward personal ideology over community content. He's still around, but far removed from the FGC identity that made him famous.

Absolute banger of a show. This is a great example of "keep your political opinions to yourself". I like versus vortex too…it just doesn't hit like EA did.

They were house hold names when SFIV and Street Fighter X Tekken were a thing. They felt like representatives of the community. My guess is the community started gaining more and more popular and there were way too many cooks in the kitchen. I watch some fights and the commentators are different all the time. Remember DrSubZero? The stuff he use to say and do were crazy. Back on topic, these two guys seemed to do a good job back then. It just didn't last over time.
