So, it's the start of May. There are approximately 15 days left until E3, and less than 10 days until the XB360 worldwide unveiling on MTV. So here is the thread, finally. This is what you should expect. I only put was confirmed (based on IGN list and elsewhere), so if you guys want to add in things that are all-but-guaranteed be my guest.

I put a bit of speculation in some of the parts of this post just because it'd be a bit boring without it, so feel free to add qualifiers to whatever I might be mistaken on.

What can I expect from Microsoft, besides what is shown here?

Of the three, this is probably the easiest to answer without being too far off the mark. For one, we're going to see Xbox 360 games - playable. Although they won't confirm many of the big games for the simple fact that they want to surprise a lot of folks with the XBX360 launch names, you can rest assured that you'll catch glimpses of Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham 3, various EA Xbox 360 games, and if you're really a good boy maybe you'll even catch sight of a Mistwalker RPG. You're going to see tons of glitz and glamour, lots of emphasis on the fact that it's coming out sooner rather than later, so the experience is going to be much further along than Revolution or PS3 for obvious reasons. Shit is playable, mang.

On the Xbox front, things will be slowing down in terms of high profile releases in favour of XB360. That's not necessarily a bad thing depending on your perspective, but the amount of high profile titles we don't yet know about for that system is probably slim to none... although you can never be too sure.

And of course, Microsoft is going to most likely be the first to lie its major cards on the table in the terms of a few MAJOR announcements. One, at least, has been highly talked about around these parts, so speculate as you see fit. If it happens at E3, of course...

Once again, I bolded what is important for those SONY fans out there. This will be the time that the media is introduced to the PS3 without a doubt. Expect information to trickle out within minutes of the meetings end. Should be very interesting to see just how much they'll reveal, given the hype that would have been surrounding the XBX360 (from the MTV/OurColony showing) by the time this media briefing is.

What can I expect to be shown for SONY, besides what is shown here?

PS3 is definitely going to show up in some major capacity, although Sony will still be keeping its focus primarily on PS2s amazing upcoming Christmas lineup and the growing popularity of the PSP. Expect lots of announcements on the handheld front especially where developers had had time to work on some projects post launch window and will finally be unveilings things that conceivably will not be hindered by the 222mhz cap. Devil May Cry PSP is certainly going to make an appearance, as is Virtua Tennis PSP and a bunch of other secrets not even yet revealed. Burnout Legends PSP should also make a showing.

On the PS3 front, it's a bit more difficult to see what is going to happen. KOEI has a game they will be unveiling for it in video form, and it's most likely going to be of Oni. Rumour has it that MGS4 will be shown as E3... but in what capacity? That'll be more clear as we near the date, if it is to happen ;) A few fancy tech demos, a lot of dick waving about how powerful the system will be... in other words, the usual bullshit. Still, should be interesting to see what we can learn through the dust.

PS2 is self-explanatory. Developers are going to keep supporting it, and the upcoming game library shows this fact. Obviously, there are still a few big projects not yet revealed that might make a few people here happy. I know I am!

What can I expect to be shown for Nintendo, besides what is shown here?

The truth is the only certainty is that there will be something related to Revolution, but we just don't know enough to speculate how much. Recently there was a huge vomit of information from somebody suggesting we'll definitely see a few videos (Waverace Revolution among them), but we cannot confirm this information.

Nintendo DS will have a very strong show. There are definitely some projects not on the above list that will make it, and you can bet things we haven't even heard of will be announced. It's pretty exciting time for those who made the DS plunge already, and perhaps a time those who haven't made the plunge will be interested in following.

We know that Gamecube and NDS will be the focus. This is NOT Revolutions coming out party, so do not expect any playable games for that system at this years E3.

Note: Please remember there's plenty of secrets you (and I) don't know about what NINTENDO, SONY and MICROSOFT will show/unveil/announce at E3, so this is not all there is to anticipate at the show. There's plenty more. ;)

Discuss.

Anyone got non-PDF floorplans? Who out of the Big 3 has the biggest floor space?

Oh, and great thread Amirox!

I'm pretty sure Sony has the most floor space... but actually I have no idea and am just talking out of my ass. I'm 56k, you see, and PDF files are scary!

Awesome thread, man! Now I know what a Gamecube looks like! And the exact time of the Xbox 360's unveiling in Poland! And that "Big Mutha Truckers DS" will be unveiled!

The 2-3 hours it took to compile all this shit were well spent!

It actually took me a bit like, oh, 15 minutes since the threads were already made for another place.

But hey, it's ok you're bitter. We forgive you, bobby.

Hopefully they'll do that second-story platform. If they show off a bunch of new PSP and PS3 stuff, they might need the space.

Holy fire breathin' Jesus. It must've taken you a week to put that all together. Good show!

It took me much less time than the PSP/DS official threads did. I had took some of this information from a few GAF threads (I should really credit those people, actually, but I wasn't thinking about it at the time and forgot to write down the names) and just compiled it together in a neat form. The game list came from IGN, and the speculation came from various threads we've recently been having ;)

To compile this thread together took 15 minutes, to gather the information and put them in a proper format took maybe an hour tops.

Oh, and thx Borys, Valis, lockii :)

I believe someone worked it out that Nintendo has 1.06x Sony's floorspace. Or something. People weren't sure if the scale was the same in the floorplan MS was in, but its smaller, apparently.

So um, nice thread with nice info, but is the purpose to keep e3 info in or something? Wouldn't one for each company be better? Or is it just a Pre-e3 thing.

<-- Wasn't here last e3.

I wasn't here last E3 either. I asked that question, if they'd like me to put it in seperate threads... but i didn't get a straight answer so I wasn't sure. I just put it in one big mega-thread :(

E3 is going to be huge, that's for sure. I both envy and don't envy the people who are going to be there trying to break through the merciless crowds ;)

Here's how E3 works on GAF, regardless if there's a mega thread or not: News bits will get their own thread anyway.

Oh, I'm sure. Call this a hub, if you will. A place we can ride out the endless storm of media and 56k-killing threads...

...I hate 56k :(

E3 destroys the whole internet.

Just keep Zelda outta everything and on its own server and things should be okay.

Also keep any
che.jpg
photo shops on its own server, and again things should be okay

That really the xbox design?

We discussed it over in a thread before, and it's very likely considering the ourcolony "teasers" and the information we know about the image/othershit that this is indeed the real deal. We won't know 110% until the ourcolony full unveiling of course (according to OurColony the colonists will be the first to see it anywhere in the world), but you can make a few safe bets.
