On February 18, 2023, Sizemore suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm at his Los Angeles home and was hospitalized in critical condition. Charles Lago, his rep, issued a statement on February 27 that doctors have determined there was "no further hope and have recommended end-of-life decision" to Sizemore's family. Sizemore died on March 3, at the age of 61.

I know he has had his share of misfortunes.

Same here, just listened to the Quentin Taratino podcast about Relic and they talked him up quite a bit. I was yelling at my phone "WTF, you directed him in like half your movies!" then realized that I had once again confused him with Michael Madsen

Regardless of his demons, I enjoyed most of his work.

That sucks brain aneurysm got my grandma despite being healthy as a horse in her 80’s: although she never did cocaine or hardcore drugs unless she made a bunch of mistakes in the 1920’s at flapper parties or something.

I had a 20 year old cousin who fell dead from a brain aneurysm. He was literally playing with his sister one moment and gone the next. He was an amazing guy too.
