How Streamers and Game Devs Can Work Together

Whether you’re a seasoned streamer or just getting started, game studios are excited to work with you! Come join a panel of veterans from across the industry to learn the best ways to start and continue to build a relationship with the game makers you love. If you’re just starting, we’ll cover how to get noticed and what studios look for. If you’re a veteran, come see how game studios are working to improve streamer support. When we work together, amazing things can happen - come party up!

Mental Health and Streaming

Mental health issues affect many people in their daily lives, so it's always good to share practices, experiences, and stories about how to deal with it on a daily basis. Take away advice not just for streaming, but for life in general.

The Kings of Battle Royale

The frenzy for fight-to-the-death, last-person-standing, battle royale games has exploded in popularity, and now, the genre’s top dog’s are coming together to throw down. Join Tony Morton (H1Z1), Brendan Greene (PLAYERUNKNOWN’S Battlegrounds) and Josh Van Veld (The Culling) for a conversation moderated by FemSteph on where these adrenaline-fueled spectacles will go next.

Warframe: is all content Stream Worthy?

Members of the Warframe team discuss the game's history on Twitch and the growth of our Warframe Streamer Partner program. How have streamers helped shape the experience of our content? What kind of challenges do we face developing content for the future? What is Warframe's future?

It’s Dangerous to Go Full-Time! Take This Business Advice

How do you know if you’re ready to take your streaming business full time? How do you handle the legal fine print, the business finance realities, and the mental preparation you need to go out on your own? This session will focus on the financial, legal, and business setup steps that streamers should consider before making the leap to full time. While each broadcaster’s journey is a little different there are some key elements they cannot afford to miss.Next, we have a Twitch focused financial planner (Galen Herbst de Cortina) to talk about the personal and business finance realities of going full time. This includes controlling the personal budget, tracking business income, expenses, and taxes, saving for the future, monetization outside of Twitch, and how to do a test run to make sure you’re really ready. He can also cover important insurance topics including health and disability. Galen has an MBA in personal financial planning and is a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner™ designation.

Finally, TheHunterWild is a successful full-time Twitch Streamer who has a unique perspective in managing his brand and his business. From the very beginning, he carefully laid out his long term business plan. He’s also employed a community manager for his channel who assists him in matters like sponsorships, event planning, and the administrative tasks needed for consistently producing content online. Hunter is also a founding member of The Party TV, a new kind of content creation team dedicated to providing great entertainment while conducting business professionally behind the scenes.

All four panelists can give great insights on general business advice and intend to leave time to take questions from the audience. While the panel can’t offer personalized advice, we feel the information will be extremely valuable to anyone hoping to go full time and even those who have already made the leap. Ultimately, we want to help clear up these complex topics so they become less of a hurdle for aspiring broadcasters! Both Partners and Affiliates, especially with the recent Affiliate monetization rollouts, would benefit from this session. Even those who aren’t yet considering going full time will get valuable information they can use to prepare themselves when the time comes. As Twitch grows these issues will grow in importance as well!
