Like many others, I discovered the Armored Core series rather late. But ever since the first 10 minutes piloting my first mech, I was hooked. I couldn't play anything else for a very long time.
Eventually I decided to test some of the older games in the series. Which brings me to Armored Core 2.
I'm enjoying it quite a lot, but I do find it much harder to get into properly, as it seems much more challenging compared to the newest instalments.
- The economics of the game is BRUTAL. You can actually lose money on a failed mission or simply spend most of your earnings on ammo and repairs, which sucks. Its crazy how little credits I have after several successful missions and arena battles. And with how challenging the game is, I always find myself in need for better parts.
- I'm still struggling with the controls. Granted I expect to have more responsive builds as I progress further, but certain movements are agonizingly slow. And don't get me started on the whole R1/R2 to look up and down. What was FROMSoftware thinking?!
Any tips from anyone who played it previously?
