I remember before I knew anything about TF2, seeing the trailer for the Heavy made it look like he could solo an entire team.

Afterall, it's a guy with a portable machine gun. How could he not be broken?



And yet in actual gameplay, he is actually very easy to beat. Snipers can pick him off, Demoman can set up traps via stickybombs, even a pyro can just set him on fire and then melee him with the axtinguisher.

Know any more characters you thought were all that but turned out to be not?

Idk early on the heavy was able to mow down a whole team or at least hold them at bay. Especially when supported by a medic.

Magus. Dude was a tough ass boss and when you get him in your party he's weak as hell. How do you figure the logic there?
