Where can you get a decent priced Vita?

I would not sell my Vita for all the tea in China. I rue the day I sold my PSP too. Rue AF.

The real question is where to get a decently priced vita memory card

If you soft-mod it (which is trivial now), then you can use standard microSD cards using a $5 adapter. This is the way to go since you can get capacities as large as 1TB with microSD and there are also reports of official Sony Memory Cards corrupting data so its actually less safe to use the official cards.

Surprisingly expensive. They've almost tripled in price over the last few years. A poopy condition 1000 is £65 at CEX, a few years ago that would've been £20-£25.
Just looking at eBay between 20 and 50 quid. Some with a few games too. Unless I'm missing something.

Honestly your best bet is to order from Japan. You are much more likely to get something in good condition ordering from Japan for a reasonable price. I've actually been really close to ordering a Crystal White OLED Vita from Japan.
Me to was looking yesterday, i just wonder if the condition is good. Granted electronics in japan are in stupid good condition, I'm talking about you akihabara

I haven't modded mine yet (I'm with the OP that I'd hate to do anything permanent to my original Vita, just in case,) but you can answer that question by taking the Vita Memory Card out of the equation...

Can you play the cartridge games with this? I know it takes the spot of the cart, but can you remove it and just plop in the cart or does it revert or cause some issue. Would hate to do this and have to go through some pain in the ass procedure everytime wanted to play a cart game.

Thinking about this as my hacked psp as a weird faded square in the screen. Apparently its a common issue with the glue coming off or something, lol.

How dare you! The Vita is a great portable PS2 though. Anyway, none of the games are PS2 titles. I wish they were...I'd kill for an emulator that runs MGS2+3 perfectly. PCSX2 is okay...RPCS3...well the last time I tried that it was unplayable poop. It was a crime against humanity that the HD collection never got a PC port.
You can play mgs 1,2, 3 and peacewalker on the vita. There is a native remaster of 2 and 3 in the collection. I know since i have the game cart.
Also mgs1 is a ps1 classic you can buy it in the store or get it how you will.

I know, I was talking about the contents of the compatibility list for the emulator.

Now that I've put all the CFW on it and done the permanent hack, do I still need to be signed into PSN on my secondary account for things like PKGJ to work or can I sign out?

Basically if I decide to sell this OLED model, does a potential buyer log in with their second account to carry on playing what's been installed?

The problem with those memory card adapters it that you need to downgrade the version as they work only with 3.60
Sorry, to pull this back up, but this is wrong. The only difference is, that ONLY when you turn it off regularly and turn it on again, you have to start the Henkaku-app as a first step. No downgrading needed.

All of them on Amazon state that they require Henkaku 3.6

They're wrong. From a usage standpoint 3.60 is desireable just because the Enso exploit runs on coldboot, but there's nothing about the adapters that stops them working on higher firmwares, the plugins for mounting them just has to work on that FW. The cartridge slot is basically just an SD card slot in a weird form factor.
