Performance will probably be fine. NISA turned to Durante's team at PH3 after the initial Ys 8 release to fix it, and PH3 has been handling all of NISA's Falcom ports for years to the complaints of no one (afaik). All of Falcom's releases in the west since then have been rock solid on the technical side.
