We got 1 newcomer and 4 vets in the smash direct, I expect 3-5 characters at e3 between the direct and the tournament mixture of old and new

Still disappointed at the minimal Wonderful 101 involvement... Time to move on I guess.

Hopefully Chrom is in the game, or Lucina, or someone from Awakening.

Unless Sakurai decides to give us a Smash Bros. Direct and a few highly anticipated newcomers I don't think we can. Fastest thread so far was capped in 22 days iirc, it's 18 days until E3.

We DID move through 23 pages in the last 22.5 hours though (wtf dat Ike hype), if we were to keep that speed up until E3 we'd actually get to OT9 page 14 until E3 though (EDIT: Even more since 22.5h != 24h) XD
Basically: We need 1 page/hour at all times until E3

Let me use this opportunity to call, for the however many-th time, that Snake will not be cut. Only cuts in the game will be Squirtle and Ivysaur.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Snake's reveal kicked off the E3 trailer. Kept you waiting would never be more appropriate.

This might have been mentioned earlier, but Marth being a bit quicker than in Brawl and Ike being beefed up makes me think Sakurai is trying to pull those two farther apart from one another in order to make room for Chrom as the “average” middle ground character.

I like that thought, and even if Chrom isn't in it's nice that characters are being made with more individuality in mind. I think you can really see that with the newcomers so far.

How many characters are slated to be in it? Sorry if asked a lot I just haven't really kept up with news. Cause I remember a while back something about Sakurai mentioning there would be less characters than Brawl.

I see that 30 have been announced, just don't know if they have revealed the total number or not.

This one will definitely wrap up before 3DS, yeah. a full day's worth of E3, plus everyone's impressions of actually playing the game at best buy/E3 will fill this one up rapidly.

I still think someone should compile a list of things we want answered by someone who will actually be able to play the game. Just gameplay questions we don't have answers to yet because we can't play the game.

There is no amount of total revealed. And it's looking like this will have a bit more characters from Brawl, but we don't know if characters will end up being cut.
